Wow! It's amazing what a difference 13 lbs can make! Keep it up and you'll be rockin' that thing Nicole Miller style in no time!

Not an "add." Just a recommendation from someone who tried it. No different than saying "eat pineapple" or "drink more water." Relax people. I'm sure the OP is intelligent enough to make her own decisions about what remedy to follow.

A. I didn't site a context. You inferred your own. B. I'd say not having a bowel movement for two weeks is a great medical reason to "stimulate."
-
But you did say, you don't need to cleanse, which seems ridiculous since the entire point is to eliminate (cleanse) the fecal matter from the bowels. And you did say you don't need to go multiple times a day. While technically this is true (proven by the fact the OP is still typing after not having had a BM for two weeks),…

So, roughly 2,000 x 1.5 = 3,000 3,000 X .8 = 2,400 if I exercise, 1,000, this nets me about 1,400. Is that right?
-
Right. I only go the bathroom once every other week and I don't need to clean anything out? Going multiple times a day is extremely healthy. What's not healthy is having fecal matter stuck in your bowels for weeks on end. But I'm just one voice in a sea of people who, individually, know everything.

I've been eating between 2500 and 3000 cals.

The question isn't how many times a week, the question is how many times a day... When you eat, and especially chew, it should trigger a natural contraction of your bowels called peristalsis which moves things through. This happens for me almost every meal. The longer matter stays in your bowels, the more unhealthy it is.…

Oh, sorry. I read that wrong. I thought you said you wanted to substitute chicken breast. Sauce still applies. Just don't deep fry or overindulge and you'll be fine! You could try grilling them too! That might actually be really good.
-
If you substitute grilled chicken for the wings, it should take care of most the fat problem and be a really good source of protein. Just watch the sauce. Most hot sauces don't have a lot of calories because they are vinegar based, but if you have a recipe with a ton of sugar, it could up the count in a hurry. Good luck!

Also, on the "subtract BMR from HRM number issue"... It's really not that much. I work out for just over an hour, which for my BMR might be 100 cals. In the big picture of calorie counting that doesn't matter much to me. You'll never get 100% accuracy no matter what you do, so make sure your setting are correct and go with…

I've found my FT80 to be pretty accurate. It's usually within 10% of the machines and calorie calculators. Based on the rates you talked about and the fact you are male and weigh a decent amount, I'm not surprised at the 1600 for a nearly 2 hour workout. Using MFP calories is pointless in my opinion, unless that's all you…

Thanks for the candid response. I'm sure it's taken a long time to come to the conclusions you have, but those lessons are valuable not only to you but many others that may cross your path. Priority number one, I think, is to allow children to feel loved. Only when they feel accepted for who they are can we then begin to…

Hahahaha!

No tattoos. My wife is trying to talk me into getting one with her for our 10th anniversary. I don't know...

Awesome!

I often notice obese children and wonder how they become that way. There is so much said anymore about video games, poor diets, blah, blah... Why do you think you were overweight as a child? Mostly genetics or can you pinpoint a familial or personal lifestyle that contributed? I think the tough part of childhood obesity…

jlm962: It would be nice if you could come to site like this, post something you were excited about and not get beat up by a bunch of judgmental people, each of whom knows the perfect path to absolute fitness. People tend to overlook a lot of facts because your way is not their way. Like the fact that you never said you…

That is absolutely fantastic! Congratulations on all your hard work.

Thank you for the helpful response, Em. So for exercise I usually do 45min - 1hr on the elliptical, plus 15-30 min of circuit training that I alternate from day to day. It's about 75 minutes a day. Part of the reason is that MFP only gave me 1500 calories, and I REALLY love food, so the exercise allowed me to eat more…

Someone please help me with this... I went to the site mentioned by the OP and used the calculators to figure out my BMR. Based on age 33, weight 210, height 76 in, and body fat 20.9, it says BMR should be 3086 since I work out 5 days a week. (MFP calculates BMR based on standard daily activity, not workout schedule.) The…

Stick with the HRM. The BMF sounds very subjective in the way it count calorie burn due to the fact it tries to detect motion, which is completely different for every exercise. I think the HRM will give more objective results, because no matter what you're doing, your heart will tell the story.

65 inches! Holy moly! Nice work!

I have an FT80 that has the ability to measure your VO2max. I'm sure it's a crude calculation, but if it's off, it make's a huge difference in your calculations. If yours has it, make sure you do the test properly and then make sure it's set in the settings. Also make sure basic height, sex, weight, and age are all set…

Coke. Lots and lots of Coke. Maybe 1,000 calories a day worth.

I have an FT80 which I love. It's more expensive, but it comes with the Flow Link so you can keep a workout diary on Polarpersonaltrainer.com. I got mine from heartratemonitorsusa.com for about $200. I was worried about the site because the price was so low, but I got the watch and everything was fine. The box seemed like…
