Hi there! I will be 47 (ouch, lol) at the end of February. I have a three-year old, and I want her to have a healthy momma. I want to lose 56 pounds ideally, but I'd be happy if I got down by 41. I lost almost 40 pounds 12 years ago, but gained it back recently. I know I can do it. Just need some planning and support.

The old high school reunion, lol! Nothing like that for motivation, huh? I had to skip my 25th since I live out of state. I was okay with that though since I was not my healthiest self. Lol. Where are you located? I am originally from New Jersey and they have had a very tough winter. Funny how in Arizona we have trouble exercising in the summer.

I can see from your weight loss ticker that you have made awesome progress so far! I love how you have goals and prizes for yourself! I never thought about assigning rewards. I think I will have to do that.

Congrats on the wedding! I would LOVE to do a Warrior Dash! I always thought it sounded like fun. I, too, love goals. I find that signing up for a run always helps to motivate me!

What's a Spartan race? How far is it? I did a half marathon in 2008 and it kicked my butt. Definitely wasn't full prepared, but I did finish. It is still one of my greatest accomplishments.

Sounds like a plan! I think five pounds a month is a reasonable goal. I, too, have a dress that I would like to wear on my cruise. I know I can pull it off with 2 pounds a week. WE CAN DO IT!!!!

Great!!! I do a lot of the meat alternatives, mostly soy products. I do have a great bean chili recipe though. I made it once and it was delicious! My sister got me a slower cooker vegetarian recipe book for Christmas, so I plan on making some of the healthy meals in there soon. I will share once I know which ones are the…

I am going to keep track of things here on the site. I am also going to increase my protein and decrease my carbs. Doc has told me to cut down on the carbs, but it is so hard. I like my bread, lol.
