  • I like the chocolate biggest loser protein powder. I mix it with frozen strawberris, a banana, spinach, and soy milk. It is 366 calories and 23 grams of protein. It last me for 4-5 hours until I'm hungry again if I don't have a mid-morning snack.
  • I'm 5'11" and currently weigh 248lbs. My goal is around 145, but ultimately my goal is get my body fat percentage down to 21%-23%. A few years ago I was 170lbs, 31% body fat, and a size 10, so I feel I can get down to 145ish and be okay but we'll see how I look and feel as I get closer to my goal.
  • I often get Portuguese or Italian. I am neither Portuguese or Italian though, so I find it rather funny. The oddest one I've ever had someone assume I was was Hispanic. I don't even speak Spanish or look Hispanic!

She also gets left alone for long periods of time because I am in nursing school 3 days a week for 8-10 hours a day.   • Try fashion bug. I have a 34" inseam and fashionbug.com has the right size style of jeans with a 34" inseam. When I'm thin I like to order my pants from gap (has 34' and 36" inseam) or old navy, but I can't do that right now because they don't carry my size.

  • I also weight myself every morning. It is part of my morning routine; get up, go potty, wash my hands, brush my teeth, and weight myself. I find it helps me stay on track with my weight.
  • Try drinking water through a straw. It helps me get a lot of water in. I tend to drink more if I'm drinking through a straw.

  • I used to drink 2-3 diet sodas a day. I've never had problems with headaches from the diet sodas either. At first when I gave up the soda I would get headaches from lack of caffeine.   • I am also doing the C25K program. I do my program on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Tuesday and Thursday I go to Zumba and I swim on Saturday. Swimming is a great aerobic workout and strength training. I also do strength training three times a week.

  • I'm doing mine on the treadmill for now since I have some knee prblems. Once I'm in better shape I'll start running outside too. But it also gets cold and very windy here (Reno, NV) in the winter so I'm sure I'll go to the gym when its 20 degress F with strong wind. :)
  • I also wear a 11.5 to a 12 in women's. You can find tennis shoes at New Balance! I order mine online and they have a great return policy incase the shoes don't fit. They also have some 11.5 (which is impossible to find) and sizes over 12. For tennis shoes its my go to place! If I want something else I go to Zappos.com
