Banana with peanut butter, tub of cottage cheese, apple with peanut butter, handful of nuts and dried fruits, can of tuna, bowl of greek yoghurt with pb2/peanut butter and seeds, rice cakes with peanut butter or low sugar jam, protein shake, hard boiled eggs(always a good snack unless allergic), raw food bar (like nakd), few squares of 85-90% dark chocolate, small piece of feta cheese etc etc.

And here I thought peanut butter was a thing in the states only!!! It is my favorite snack with an apple or celery!!! YUMMMMMMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I'm having a hard time with snacks. The other day I bagged up individual portions of my favorite snack foods (sesame rice crackers, spicy doritos, pretzels, dried fruit, gummy bears) and put them in a basket by the kitchen door so I can grab them quickly when I'm on my way out or when I'm looking for something indulgent (when I've got the calories to spare for the day). I also have rice cakes (am I the only one in the world who actually likes them?) and plan on getting some granola to add to my yogurt cups.

I love the dark chocolate rice cakes.

Also the Dark Choclate Almonds by Emerald are a favorite.

I tend to have smoothies alot at night for snacks and for a midday snack it's usally carrots, peppers and hummus.

Cottage cheese with pepper is a good midmorning snack for me.

Sometimes at night it's a Thomas English Muffin with Almond butter... I am loving Almond butter.

I just wanted to add... your question isn't stupid. You are trying to make a lifestyle change and it is hard to do.

I have also found reading books about nutrition (especially super foods) to be especially helpful.

I have a cupboard full that the kids avoid. Mixed nuts, pistachios, dried apricots, prunes, dark chocolate. Then there's greek yogurt and berries, egg whites, veggies and hummus, cheese, fruit.
