why not just do some extra excercise, since it is your rest day maybe not as vigorous as you would but a light lunch and an extra watch might make up for those calories.

I think everyone's journey is different and you have to find what works for you in your own time. You can't change others you can only change yourself. :smile:

i think there is a listing for walking on crutches :smile: I would try to do more strenght training, isometric type exercises. I know there are some exercise dvd's for while you are sitting. Important to stay focused on being healthy. I know it sucks being injured!, Good Luck. :smile:

Congratulations!! Great JOb!! running is fun and addivctive, you will also meet some very nice healthy people to start surrounding yourself with! Most cities have running groups if you want to get more involved. I find I need to sign up for races to keep motivated, it really helps. Again, Great Job!!! :flowerforyou:

i really didn't understand the hype about cool whip being bad for you, i tried adding some to my fruit last night and then I couldn't even eat it thinking about all the chemicals it is made up of! :smile: i guess i am evolving.

Went for a beautiful 40 minute run in a nature reserver park near our house, saw a few deet along the way, i love running outside it makes me feel alive! I was tired of being on the hamster wheel!

Find some excercises that you can do, there are a lot of isometric excercises for stomach and arms. It sucks but you will have to watch what you eat especially if you are just sitting around recovering. Read up on cooking light and excercises that you want to do when you get better. not sure of the price difference but with 80/20 you are paying for the 20% fat that you are getting rid of, seems to me it would be better just to buy the lean? But my husband is the one who does most of the grocery shopping so I am not sure of the price difference that you are saving buying 20% fat(which is less meat),

My only fast food lately is a Wendy's large chili, 280 calories. Love it, when anyone asks to go fast food for lunch i always suggest wendy's.

I'm so depressed, my shoulder has been hurting and it has gotten worse, went to the Ortho Dr. and he said it is Frozen Shoulder sent me to PT but it could take a while to unfreeze, like up to a year! I was going to start swim training for tri's again and now this, ugh. :frown: It's he** gettin old.

I think the only way to know is too try cutting out dairy for a couple weeks and see what happens. Couldn't hurt.

Padded bike shorts are a must have! You will feel so much better after with those on. If you don't like wearing the spandex road biking ones you can throw another pair of shorts on over or they also sell ones that already have the over shorts attached , mountain bike shorts.
