Eat Now, Save Later?

Can I eat calories now, and subtract an extra 200 calories throughout the week later?

The reason I ask this is because my friend bought me a ticket to a fundraiser for our local schools. It's a type of fair I guess, I've never been, and it includes food and drink. I don't know what kind of food it will be and what the outcome of my calories will be. I could just not eat until then, but it starts at 5pm and ends at 8pm.

On top of that, tomorrow is supposed to be my rest day from the gym.

So could I put in all the food I eat tomorrow when I get back from the fundraiser, and whatever the grand total is, could I take an extra 200 or whatever calories from this coming week to make up for it? Just for this week.:indifferent:

If it's just this one night I say just forget about it. Be good for the rest of the week and keep up the work outs!!

Yeah this is not a do now and add later. When you put it in your mouth tonight, the fat goes on your body tonight......just be extra good the rest of the week and do not go over anymore. Once in a while over is not gonna ruin your entire week, you just have to know that you can't do it all the time that is how we all got this way.

    Have fun.

OMG I wish I could save calories for a later date. I've always dreamt about being able to do that. There are days I can barely eat 1000 and other days I feel like I could consume 10,000. LOL

Like the other ladies said you should be fine to just eat what you eat at the event and get right back on track the next day, the rest of the week etc.

There in lies the problem with a lot of people, me being the first in that line. I used to go on a month or more long binge if I had a bad day or a couple bad days. IF I only would have gotten back on track the next day or the next week etc. then it would be okay. Instead of watching the scale go up and eating to cover that hurt and then 2 months and 50 pounds down the road realizing that had I gotten back on track that very next day everything would have been okay.

Anyway, more then you wanted to know. I can go on, lol. :ohwell:

Have a good time at your event!

Yes, I do that often. I lost weight doing that, and I'm pretty successful at maintaining right now like that.

If you're following a 500 calorie deficit daily then eating the extra 200 won't even bring you up to your maintenance calories... you'll be fine :flowerforyou:

I do this in theory. I stagger my calories, so more on some days & less on others depending on what my body is telling me. I don't track specific numbers though, instead I just focus on eating properly & being active.
    Have fun at the event!

why not just do some extra excercise, since it is your rest day maybe not as vigorous as you would but a light lunch and an extra watch might make up for those calories.

I think you can "bank" but not for an entire week. I look at a 3 day running average, myself.
