  • Hey everyone.... I'm 31 , but don't feel a day over 30 haha. I'm back on the 'find myself again' buzz. I've got a five year old and recently finished study so now it's my time to re-fire the bounce in my step (instead of a jiggle) and would really like a hand to keep myself motivated
  • Welcome back.i came back a week ago too. Start easy! I dived in and felt consumed. I think the water intake will come naturally as you increase exercise. I tell myself, No you can't have that hot drink until you've finished x amount of water and that helps me
  • Welcome back. I'm returning to Mfp too...its been four years. We can do this,We deserve to feel healthy and comfortable in our own skin
  • Thanks ladies for your understanding and support. I think I will make a conscious effort to log everything this week, whether I enjoy it or not, and see whether my enthusiasm comes back or not. If not, then I think I will take a break. I know that I intend on coming back on here in full swing once baby and I have got into…
  • I don't really have any advice but I just wanted to let you know that you sound like wonder woman! I hope you feel proud of your commitment to work and family. Your husband is lucky to have you and I am sure he loves you no matter what your shape or size.. but I know that what you think of yourself is more the point.…
  • Yea I have mine set to that too. But it only gives me 1800 due to my height and weight. I do snack well most of the time, I think my problem is I'm being lazy with logging so not getting the full picture lol. Thanks everyone for your imput
  • I'm 29 weeks tomorrow. I am 1 kg off my pre diet weight. I was 66kg when I started mfp, 56.5 kgs when I got pregnant and am now 66kg. I really didn't expect to gain so much weight during the first two trimesters of pregnancy. I will admit that it's mostly bump but I can't help but feel guttered that I am "back where I…
  • I had my glucose test yesterday.... I felt like $#!+ all day!!! personally I think you should do it, who cares about the empty calories. You could either get peace of mind knowing that everything is ok or worst case scenario you are diagnosed with GD. A nutritionist may give you extra tips and up to date info that you…
  • haha brave soul indeed!!
  • Thank you all for your response. ContraryMaryM- I am totally with you on the slowness lol. I stopped running when I found out I was pregnant, I've always had issues with my knees so thought it better to be safe then sorry. Good on you for being so active. rachael116- Good luck with keeping up your routine.... I must be…
  • I think the most important thing is to have good intentions and try to cut down slowly but don't stress about it, stress is worse for baby than a bit of caffeine.
  • That's wonderful news. I wish you the best for your pregnancy.
  • <---- my baby girl at 20 weeks.... I've got a pretty decent bump and I love it:heart:
  • Hi there. I don't really have any advice but just wanted to say keep positive and relax!! As long as you aren't eating too much salt, any water retention you have should work itself out provided that you keep hydrated and continue to work out. Is there a reason you have cut back your calories when you are pregnant?
  • I had the same go with the flow type train of thought as mrs_n0rris , if the baby doesn't want us to see then we weren't meant to know lol. This did not go down with hubby. He was so excited to find out and luckily we got to see. We are delighted that our wee baby is a mini mummy, but would have been equally happy if she…
  • Hi All, Congratulations and best of luck with your pregnancies. I am almost 26, have been married for 2.5 years and am so so so happy to be 20 weeks pregnant with our first child, a little girl. My due date is actually Christmas Eve 2013, but only she knows when she will be born. I lost nearly 10 kgs in order to get fitter…
  • I'm pleased, except I couldn't log my walking properly because none of the new converted speeds were slow enough lol....
  • Le Snaks - not really a health food since they pack a bit of fat- but that's not always a bad thing. 3 crackers and some cheese flavoured goodness for 88 cal- yes please (varies slightly by flavour -FYI)
  • New Zealand MFP Buddies Great group :)
  • HSingMomto5Ki: wow, 6 children, I admire your strength and patience! I will make sure I pay special attention to my hunger pangs, thanks for that. Your midwife sounds amazing! I am going to sort that soon, just want to get my 7 week scan out of the way first. I am working really hard on my protein intake, the only meat I…
  • Congrats on your pregnancy! and thanks for sharing. I have sent you a request :)
  • Congrats to you, what a cute wee man! Thanks for the tip on the heart rate level, I was unsure how high is too high! well done you for keeping fit, I hope to do the same :)
  • I hate that 'eat for 2' saying... it's the size of a rice grain... it does not need 1200 cals lol. Thanks for your advise on the exercise, I will chat to my trainer tonight and come up with a plan.
  • OMG! thank you all so very much for your imput. I am overwhelmed! FaerieCae: Thanks for your advice about my heart rate, I am 2/3 through C25k and although I don't want to stop it until I feel I need to, but I will slow down and use my hrm. My due date is 16 Dec, so I know that finding a LMC will be tough for that time of…
  • I find it frustrating when people say hypo instead of hyper when commenting on someone's behavior. Aks = Ask Free= three ew ew ew and missus/Mrs ... hate that. :explode: I have a friend who makes an effort to incorrectly spell everything in a way that makes it drag out, so pretty much anything that she says e.g:…
  • Just bought some from Pak n Save (way cheaper as it's on introduction special)... will try it out at morning tea
  • I was in countdown this weekend ... wish I'd seen that, thanks for the heads up
  • My impression is that it means 250ml glasses (or around 8oz) per day... really hard to do, so I figure as long as I don't feel hungry, dehydrated or tired, Ive had enough (normally 4 glasses, plus i might have a juice or tea but don't count that as a water serving).

  • 30DS is great, I watch Natalie most of the time but when I am buggered but need to keep going I swap to Anita, so glad that option is there, otherwise I might have stopped! Congrats on facing your fear and for giving yourself some pampering, well deserved I say!
