  • All of my workout time is weekly. Also, it was your calculation that I used Heybales, it just seemed a little high. But it seems to be working out so far...
  • Lost 115 pounds on Primal Blueprint since February 2012
  • Spinach & Egg Caserole (wife loves this stuff), Stuffed Peppers, Primal Fiesta Salad (again, for the wife), Bunless Cheeseburgers...not a bad choice there as far as I am concerned.
  • Pretty much the same as this....Stronglifts 5x5
  • I also suffer from asthma and being primal has definitely helped that. I also don't snore near as bad (almost none) anymore and my sleep apnea has gone away. I am sure part of this is also due to the fact that I lost over 100 pounds, but being primal got me that, too.
  • Amen! I grew up eating all of that processed junk and ended up being obese for most of my life. I have now been primal for a year now, and I have lost over 100 pounds this past year. I will not go back. This is the way we are supposed to eat.
  • My wife just gave birth to our first born and was eating primal the entire time (occasional non primal treats but not too much). She was able to keep working out up until about the 38 week mark. She usually never got cravings for bad stuff. She did eat a lot of fruit. Long story short, she believes that eating primal…
  • And all that we are saying is that some of the items in your post totally contradict with what this group stands for. A newbie coming across your post could easily take it as the right approach and really screw stuff up for themselves, so it is very important to watch what you post as "tips".
  • I checked out your diary and noticed that the only protein you have really eaten is some dairy and chicken...once. There was a protein shake in there too. So, my suggestion is going to be blunt and simple. Eat some meat. Cook up some real chicken instead of the processed stuff. Grill up a steak. Eat some fish. Fish is…
  • Nice post, but I have to disagree with a few of your points. First off, you really shouldn't generally state that people should eat 1600 calories a day, because people range in size and this could be significantly below a lot of peoples BMR (my BMR is about 2200 calories and my sedentary tdee is about 2550 for example).…
  • Currently between 20%-21%. Goal is 15%. I never measured when I started getting healthier, but I would guess I was over 50% and probably closer to 55%.
  • I prefer metal music like 5 Finger Death Punch, Slipknot and Metallica for example. But then again, I am a metalhead. Really anything with an upbeat sound that keeps you motivated is what you should go for.
  • We are totally getting a new Costco in Fort Wayne. This post has made me really excited to check it out! Thanks!
  • I usually keep lots of brussel sprouts stocked along with broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. Cauliflower is very diverse as it can be steamed, mashed or raw. It is also used in lots of paleo/primal recipes. My wife likes to keep sweet potatoes around but they are a little too starchy for me as I am trying to currently lose…
  • I also typically eat my salads with no dressing. It takes a while to get used to, but now I prefer it. The only exception is my primal fiesta salad (taco salad with no tacos). I use salsa on that. Its delicious!
  • primal for about a year here. Feel free to add me if you would like.
  • I have been primal for about a year now and have always tracked. Feel free to add me if you want. I dont always eat paleo/primal, but do about 90% of the time.
  • It sounds like your body has adjusted to the lower calorie diet. Try taking a diet break for a few weeks (4-8) and then start your 15% cut again.
  • You really should read the stickies. If you ate low calorie for that long and you finally increase to what you should be eating (and yes you should do a reset and eat those 2300 calories per day for a while) then you are bound to gain some pounds back as your body in adjusting to the increased calories. You have basically…
  • Same here....primal for about a year. Add me if you want.
  • The worst thing about being Primal = talking to non-primals about being primal. Its easier to just not do it, but unfortunately, I enjoy talking about Primal! 11 months being Primal and I have lost 102 pounds. This lifestyle has saved my life! The results don't lie. People always ask "What do you eat for breakfast?".…
  • My wife and I make breakfast casseroles. 12 whole eggs, 1 pound of meat of you choice, 1 green pepper, 1 medium onion, 8 ounce package of mushrooms and top it off with shredded cheese (optional). Mix together and bake. It makes 6 servings and is easily refrigerated for microwaving later.
  • I second what has already been mentioned about staying out of the middle aisles. The only things I get from those aisles are water, nuts, tuna and spices. I make really easy meals during the week and I always make double portions so that I have lunch the next day. Baked chicken breasts and pork chops with steamed veggies.…
  • Feel free to add me! I am currently going through week 5 of my reset and would love some EM2WL friends.
  • Sounds like I am in the minority here, but my wife and I have been on the primal blueprint for about 10 months now. We love it. I feel so much better without all of the processed junk in my system anymore, and I get plenty of nutrition and energy. Do we still have some processed foods every once in a while? Yes. But we…
  • Thanks for all your help! I will definitely stick to this and try to see the end goal.
  • ok thanks alot. I may still have to splurge a bit this month with christmas right around the corner, but I will try to hit the TDEE every day. 2900 calories seems like alot of calories after being sub 2000 for so long, it just doesn't seem right. But I have to trust that this is whats best. So glad there is a group of…
  • I always have an apple, cheese and lots of almonds at work
  • Thanks for the quick response. I will start the reset then. One more question though. Do I need to eat all 2900 calories each day, or can I eat at a bit of a deficit most days and then have a surplus on one day of the week, therefore meeting my weekly TDEE? This would be great since I already eat clean 90% of the time…
