  • I loved reading your posts as well as all the others. I am almost 10 years out (Oct 23). I was 280 at 5' 3" when I had my open RNY. It was a major adjustment but I would do it all over again in a heart beat! I never reached my goal weight. I really don't even know what it would be. I had lost 118lbs and then gained about…
  • I had RNY almost 10 years ago and have had my share of ups and downs. I never reached my goal. I am now headed back in the right direction again and hope to be back to my original loss soon. Then on to my goal weight. Anyone can feel free to add me.
  • Unbelievable! Not onky is it wrong to have food in the pool but why would someone assist her? There's something wrong with that individual!

  • I had RNY Oct 2003. Lost about 120 and never reached my goal. I have lost about 25 but still neen to lose an additional 29 just to get back to where I was. It's such a struggle! Many ups and downs but I never give up. I log everyday on MFP. It's nice to have the support on here.
  • Hi all, I had surgery 9 years ago. I had lost 118 lbs. in the first couple years and never reached my goal weight.. I had gained 54 lbs back. I now need to lose 30 more to get back to my lowest weight. It is such a struggle! Seems most everyone on here is only a few years out. I am willing to share my experiences and could…
  • Thanks! As I decided to start this, I ended up sick at the same time. I'm trying to stay focused on my eating but find that's hard too when I feel bad. Seems I go to the comfort foods and what is easiest to grab. Still tracking everything I eat no matter what I eat to help me stay focused.
  • I am keeping track of everything I eat on MFP. I am currently eating between 1200 and 1500 calories. If you eat low Cal food it means you can eat a lot more food calorie wise but with the gastric bypass we can't eat that much! I am getting all my protein in. Eating fruits and veggies. And losing weight. Usually on the…
  • Hi all, I am new here and would love to join in. I have never done Leslie Sansone until this this past week. I've done 7 miles so far. Not sure what to set as a goal for the remainder of the month so I will push myself to see what I can do. I am hoping this will give me the motivation to keep moving.
  • I had RNY Gastric Bypass 9 years ago. I had lost 120lbs and never reached my gal weight. I've now gained 40 back! I know it still works as long as I eat what I should. My biggest problem has been slider foods and sweets. I am working real hard to change that. I will celebrate 10 years in October. My ultimate goal would to…
  • I guess we all find fault with our bodies. From my point of view, yours doesn't sound so bad. I have the opposite problem. As I lose weight I lose my boobs! But not in the butt! You do not want to be bottom heavy. Shirts have to be so big to fit around my butt that the shirts fall off my shoulders! Not good. So, I…
  • Louisville Ky here. Not sure how much I can walk on weekends but would love to share the support on here. Feel free to friend me.
  • I'm 54. I think I want to lose about 50. Won't know till I get there. It's been too many years. Feel free to add me.
  • You can add me. I need all the support I can get too.
  • A foot rub goes a long way!!! To be treated special.
  • Thanks for the suggestion on the straps. I did check them out. However I am not sure they would work for me. I have osteoarthritis in both knees. I am going to do a little more research.
  • Thanks all! I went out and bought a Leslie Sansone during lunch today. I will try it tonight.
  • It is difficult looking for low carb recipes when you are are bariatric patient. Low carb processed foods is something many of us need to stay away from. They are usually higher in fat and sugar which can really play havoc on our pouches. Not good.
  • I too am a bariatric patient. 9 years out. I have found that using MFP works great. I keep my calorie count at 1500. At the end of the day I am always over on my protein and under on carbs. I just try to eat a healthy diet. I usually have an egg sandwich with cheese on a whole wheat sandwich thin for breakfast. I have been…
  • I could use a buddy too! Married with 2 grown daughters with 2 grandchildren. I need all the support I can get!
