  • Thanks! I cut and pasted it to Word. I'll be making this soon!
  • I recently switched to Truvia, not sure if that's any better though. I always wanted to try Agave Nectar...maybe when I run out of this box of Truvia...
  • Portobello, onions and spinach omlete made with 2 egg whites and one whole egg. I also add a banana. Total of 253 calories.
  • I've noticed throughout the seasons that they are focusing a little more on food choices than in the past. BUT on that note, I was so mad when Bob suggsted the sugar laden yoplait as a snack! Those viewers who watch TBL that do not have as much information about food will watch the show as a way to learn. I wish he…
  • Hi everyone! I'd love to join this thread/club! I started eating clean a few months ago and it really does work! I don't do it 24/7, I usually do it about 85% of the time. Weekends are my downfall! But I do believe in everything in moderation. If I am at a party and they have cake, then I have some. Not a big piece…
  • I alternate weights, running and calisthenics all in one. Here's an example of one of my 20 minute workouts: Run 400M (1/4 mile) 21 push ups 21 Dumbbell swings (this whole revolution is considered 1 round) I do as many rounds as I can in 20 minutes with no breaks. It's fast but it's extremely high intensity. You can make…
  • Ahhhh...that was probably it. It only lasted a day and a half for me because I couldn't handle feeling like I was going to pass out. My head hurt and I felt dizzy. My workout suffered too. Maybe I'll try it during the weekend because I don't workout during that time period. I do look forward to a good cleansing of all the…
  • Being in Hawaii, I am behind all of you in the time so I set my tivo to record it today. Thanks for the heads up!
  • Hmmm....I bookmarked the site. My husband has his weigh in coming up in Oct. this might help with that. I've tried a cleanse before and felt like I was going to pass out! I couldn't even do my workouts. I'd love to try it just for the cleansing part (not to lose weight), but I am hesitant because of my past experience.…
  • Thanks everyone! I too prefer butter over margarine because of it's natural characteristics...that's why I never tried the Smart Balance margarines. I'll be sure to pass that post about the best foods on to my friend! Thanks again!
  • You should always take a day or two off. Your body needs to recover from your workouts. I always try to take one full day off and one "active rest day" meaning I just walk for 30 minutes or so. Nothing too strenuous for my active rest day. Just count today as your recovery day. Enjoy! PJs, a hot tea latte, and movies…
  • Don't eat it! Especially if they are deep fried! The majority of them are.
  • So funny! Those are my stress busters too! Not martial arts exactly, but a hard core workout! I've realized punching a bag definitely takes my stress away!
  • Check your shoes. Are they old (over 500 miles on them)? If so get new ones! This same thing happened to me, I got new shoes, stayed off my legs for a little and was back to normal. If they are new and your still hurting my only other question is: Are you running on a flat surface or with hills? The hills may be too much…
  • I eat them all. I get too hungry not too!
  • Increase the intensity of your workouts. You'll get over the plateau in no time. Good luck!
  • Like I said I got mine a couple years ago so I don't know if prices went down. I got the Jake LaLane Pro Juicer at Costco and it was about $100. I'm sure there are many other brands like Hamilton and Cuisinart. You can probably get them anywhere from Target, Walmart, to Kohls. The juicer also came with recipes that you can…
  • Maybe just go for a walk? It's not so strenuous but it still burns calories.
  • Adding to my topics! Love the recipes! I like the idea of having it ready so all you have to do is plug it in and press cook. My 13 year old can do this in the morning and make his own breakfast (something besides cereal!). Thank you!
  • You are in the "normal" range so it'll be harder to lose. Maybe your workout intensity isn't hard enough? Are you sure your supposed to be eating only 1500 calories? At your age your metabolism is alot higher so maybe try increasing your calories by a couple hundred (200-300) and see what happens. If you aren't losing the…
  • You guys Rock! Candy ~ with support like that you'll never screw up! Great job!
  • I was thinking room temp. soup as well. They should have done it all at once so you only have to deal with it one time!
  • Yeah for you! I wish I had the metabolism I had when I was 18! I'm sure you'll do awesome. Just stick with your plan and don't let anyone get in your way! Good luck!
  • Are you sure that wasn't alcohol??
  • For me I've noticed I HAVE to keep track of my calories. It's so easy to go over 300, 400 plus calories without even realizing it! Also, maybe since he's still AF you can PT together. A jog in the morning before work or something. If I have someone to do it with me I am more willing to keep it up consistently. Good Luck…
  • Such a great post! Alot of people think that training every day, twice a day is great, but don't realize what they are really doing to their body! It needs a rest too! Three days on, one day off is perfect but not always feasible with work schedules and every day life though. I workout 5 days a week with 2 days "active"…
  • Welcome! And congrats on your first step to being healthy! Good luck on your journey!
  • I know that all places may be different but maybe if you just did a guesstimate by using another restaurants nutritional info. I found nutritional info on Mongolian beef at a restaurant called Pei Wei: http://caloriecount.about.com/calories-pei-wei-beef-i121160 Not sure if it helps, but it's an idea.
  • Because you are more confident on top of your beauty (not that you weren't before, but maybe the confidence wasn't there) you automatically put guys in a "she's out of my league" mode. They might be intimidated by your confidence and aura you now project and feel that if they try to talk to you they'll get shot down. The…
