New realizations with a HRM...
I got a Polar F6 for Christmas and I LOVE it! I have been using MFP to track my calories. With my settings I am supposed to bring in 1200 calories to lose weight (only need to lose the last 8 pounds). I've never had a HRM before so I just used the given calorie count for the exercises that I have been doing. Well, as an…

Margarine vs. Butter
I know that Smart Balance and some other brands of margarine are supposedly "healthy". I've never had any of these before. I was just wondering what your thoughts were on margarine vs. butter. Do you prefer a pat of the real butter or more of the margarine? One of my friends refuses to use butter because of it's fat so I…

Getting reaquinted with my juicer
I've had the Jake LaLane Juicer for 2 years now and haven't used it in awhile. Today I felt like grapefruit juice so I busted out the machine! I juiced a whole grapefruit and was on a roll so I added some strawberries too. Then I started feeling inspirational and decided instead of heavy pasta for lunch I'll have a spinach…

This trainer who used to be an underware model gained 90lbs on purpose so he can better relate to his clients. He gained it in 6 months and is now working on losing it. The video said he's lost 10lbs so far. It just goes to show…

House Seasoning Mix
I got the original recipe from Emeril but changed it up a bit for my needs. Very low in sodium and I use this spicy seasoning mix on everything from shrimp to burgers to alfredo sauces! I keep the salt low so the sodium is easier to control in your meals. You’ll love experimenting with this seasoning mix. I make it and…

Necterine Chicken Salad
Here's a yummy summer salad. I'm not a big dressing fan, so I use VERY little of it. You can increase it as needed. The calories are a bit higher in this salad due to the nuts, this can be omitted or decreased if desired as well. Enjoy! Ingredients: 3 oz. cooked (grilled) chicken breast 2 cups Earthbound Farms Organic…
