  • Thanks, I'll look into the vitamin c and v8! I used to have some fizzy vitamin c things that were kind of fun
  • supplementing with daily vitamins is what my doctor recommended and is long term hardly a quick fix; the part we disagree on is she wants me on prenatals and i want to control the amounts of the vitamins more than when they're all in one. It's not like I'm looking at diet pills these are vitamins most of which my dr wants…
  • Thank you, I'll look into gastrolyte. =]
  • I am aware they won't make me pregnant; and also that I am a hypochondriac but when you look it up the general consensus is to not use them for off-label purposes because they contain things that are harmful if you get too much of them. I have a non-hormonal iud and with the exception of the acne I'm completely satisfied…
  • Is there a way to find out definitively? The only one I know for sure is chronically anemic but I'm already prescribed iron for that. What sort of test would let me find out? My dr and I agree that I need vitamins I just don't want to take prenatal vitamins based on what I've read and because its weird.
  • I did my homework. Prenatal vitamins have levels of folic acid that are harmful if a fetus isn't using some of it. Side effects include rapid heart rate and easy bruising. I already have these things. Folic acid is on my list but in the proper amounts for a non pregnant person.
  • all that other stuff is basically what is in the prenatal vitamins. and protein. is there something unhealthy in my list?
  • My doctor wants me to take prenatal vitamins and eat better. I'm not pregnant. Edit also birth control. She wants me back on the pill bc it basically eradicated my acne for all of high school but I'm convinced the reason it sucks since I quit the pill is because my hormones are messed up from taking the pill for so long.
  • I've pretty much stopped "drinking my calories" for the last couple years so juice and stuff makes me cringe. But I guess I'll have to get over it if I want to heal...counting down that 48 hours for some miso soup lol
  • Also I am terrified of infection so I want the liquids to be totally liquid like nothing that could get stuck in my stitches and kill me. Dr. Google has a lot of horror stories for wisdom teeth removal =[
  • This brand is flav r pac. I like making a pound at once because I'm more likely to eat healthy if its already prepared. I try to do the every sunday thing but it ends up being sort of half assed usually
  • Well I'm sure it can be but the way I learned is not. If you know a healthy way to make it that is still strongly flavored I'd be down to try it but when I have tried to make it without drowning it in sauce it was bland for me. Based on other recipes I try from the internet I think I have an extreme idea of what is bland…
  • All intriguing! Thanks all =] I forgot to say pescetarian but thats my bad, I think ill try the soup idea some time with a tomato soup base. And try to resist the urge to make grilled cheese or garlic bread to dip in it...maybe no soup. Also excited about the roasting idea that sounds pretty hard to mess up and I have no…
  • She said they would break down and the texture would get gritty like there's dirt or sand on them. I guess I'll just see how long they last; hopefully the week. It is probably worth mentioning that both my friend and myself are very recent college grads who can't really use anything in the kitchen other than the microwave…
  • It was worth it to me; I like knowing things. I am not in contact with my father and have never met anyone from his family. My mother's whole family pretty much including my mother herself has dark brown hair and eyes and much tanner skin than me. I learned that I have 41~% Irish ancestry so that might explain my pale…
  • I think she means the dna part is accurate. Which it is. Meaning the list of SNP's I was given are really present in my DNA. The research on correlations between these and various health things is all from different studies so they may not all be valid but I do have that gene whether or not it really correlates to a weight…
  • It is approved for raw DNA files and ancestry. They had to stop offering their health analysis. Which I didn't use. They still offer the rest of it. The website I used for the health information has not been shut down. Which doesn't prove it's right. But nothing is being analyzed by the second website. It's literally a…
  • Most helpful answer in thread. Thank you. The insulin resistance diagnosis came from my dr and is unrelated to the dna thing I just thought it might be worth mentioning in relation to considering a low-fat diet.
  • You mail in a sample. They calculate ancestry results and then for ****s and giggles offer you the raw data to download. You can then upload this data to the database thing online. Sorry if I was unclear. Thank you for your answer. I understand that the genetic markers indicate an "increased chance" of or "predisposition"…
  • Rather than "try everything until you find what works for your body," I was going to try this first. If there is any science behind it. If you're telling me there isn't then thank you for answering my question. I know it doesn't mean it is expressed. I wanted to know if it could be a valid starting point or if its complete…
  • I am aware that my choice of words oversimplifies things or whatever. If you'd prefer I can call it Gs281. If you know that single-nucleotide polymorphism by name I'm impressed. I didn't but I had to call it something.
  • Because they said a dr needs to administer the test for them to give out health results. The validity of said results was not in question. Like, results were showing increased risks for certain cancers/diseases and people were taking medical action based on them so the FDA said this test needs to be classified as a medical…
  • Because it is working slowly! Like a pound a month/2 weeks sometimes.
  • So I should not trust the ancestry results? The website that offers DNA tests is for ancestry, it just also included raw DNA data/a list of SNPs my DNA contains. The second website ran that list against a database of researched genetic markers and showed me which ones I have. None of it is marketed towards weight loss. I…
  • Thanks! The dress isn't as pretty on me because it's a couple sizes bigger than in the picture, but I still feel pretty in it =]
  • It's 86 degrees right this second. I'm in southern louisiana. 3 Hours away in new orleans it's 75 apparently. Lucky them. I'm going to look into this airbrush legs thing, sounds great!
  • Thanks all. It's absolutely disgusting here; late December to mid March it'll be sort of mildly cold(like low of 55) then it'll snap back to 100 for the summer. I hate Louisiana.
  • Geez I really hope not. There are like 20 wild cats that live in the parking lot; They're probably covered in them. This is a cheap apartment in an old building with a 1/2 inch gap under the door so I'll probably call the landlady just in case. I have a kitchen light that flickers and the hot water faucet on my shower…
  • They fit in my macros just fine as long as I have one serving at a time(9 tots). If they need to be tossed I'm buying more. My house stays at 79 during the day and 76 at night. I like your answer so I'll try that, and if they're too weird after refreezing I'll buy more then.
  • Yeah =[ guess I'm going back to the store. God I want some tator tots; they're my guilty pleasure lol
