  • hahaha nice. I'm baking some now to see if they're "off," but my bf says refreezing is bad. I've never bought a 5 pound bag before but it was a good deal :/ joke's on me I guess
  • Ooooh or I can just cook them all now? I really don't want to throw away so much food because I'm stupid haha.
  • I think the fat acceptance movement is positive and progressive in theory, and that society and tons of young girls would benefit from some more realistic ideals of beauty(some models with more realistic bmi's etc). BUT I think the movement isn't working like it should because a lot of its followers are using it to remain…
  • THERE IS NOTHING LEFT =[ I eat mostly plants as well along with my one fish a day, and who can afford to always shop organic? merrrrrr =[
  • I'm over the limit =[ I have tilapia or salmon or tuna every day to reach my protein goal(pescetarian here). And I'm only a pescetarian because I took a class in nutrition that convinced me red meat with it's hormones etc is bad! Pick your poison I guess.
  • I didn't know there was an egg controversy =[ they fit in my macros so well I've been eating like 4 or 5 at a time for a meal, maybe 3 times a week. Do I need to stop doing this?! It's usually when I blew through my carbs earlier in the day lol.
  • I'd just not bring it up again. My boyfriend supports me and I don't talk about weight loss to friends, because I got sick of girls who are bigger than me telling me I don't need to lose weight. I am just barely in overweight bmi, so there is room for some loss and it's not the haters' business. Just because others are…
  • lol, I didn't ask for it but I was crying when I got to the clinic so maybe I freaked him out. I had a contact stuck in there under the swollen eyelid and it hurt like nothing I've ever felt when he dug it out. He told me to do the washcloth thing 4 times a day, and take antibiotic drops to prevent it from getting…
  • That is not true. Look up the restaurant's nutrition online; many now have full nutrition information available. If you stay within your calorie goals you can lose weight eating fast food. You might feel like crap if you eat it every day and not have much energy but you will keep losing if your goals are set correctly and…
  • Yeah it's pretty hard to hit all the macros spot on; I have a hard time not going over on carbs lol. I don't think it would be bad to eat more in the mornings if that's when you're hungriest, or find some foods that keep you full longer. Some foods metabolize slower than others, which can prolong feelings of fullness.
  • That's interesting; I'm never hungry in the mornings and if I eat before 10am I get sort of nauseous. If you weren't doing much physical activity-wise before, it would seem like that might cause it I guess? Ps your macro breakdown is missing 5%
  • I've been eating eggs almost daily lately, trying to meet protein goals without going over other carbs(eggs are one of the few things I like that aren't loaded with carbs lol). Get a non-stick pan and you don't even need oil, just a half-second spritz of cooking spray and you save more calories.
  • Or a bag of salt and vinegar chips. D: hurt so good
  • I asked my mom once as a kid why people don't just get their taste buds burnt off if they want to lose weight because who would want to eat if they can't taste. She got me a shrink.
  • Boil a dozen or 18 eggs once a week; there's a healthy protein filled snack with no sodium that you can grab and eat that is also relatively inexpensive. Microwave steamable veggies are pretty quick. EDIT: ooh my current favorite quick fix: drain a can of tuna and mix it with mustard. Way less calories than mayo and…
  • I was all ready to be like no use Netflix!
  • "at least I don't," or did you not read to even the end of the sentence? OR more importantly the post I was quoting and replying to? I'll help you: The blanket statement was in sarcastic response to their blanket statement, "In the uk we have no idea what size a cup is...." (I bolded it above) or are you not bothered by…
  • In america we have no idea what size a gram is or how much it's supposed to represent, at least I don't. I'm in college and all of my science labs have used cups. No one teaches us grams and it isn't our fault. So wouldn't having both available be the better answer than grams OR cups? You being confused isn't worse than me…
  • I'm losing weight using the less specific measurements, and not weighing anything. I measure things at home with cups and tablespoons, but if I'm out to dinner I eyeball it or use the restaurant's listing for "half a pizza." Having a general idea is apparently good enough to stop me from grossly overeating, because I am…
  • Don't let anyone bother you; anyone can want to lose weight and there is nothing wrong with it if they are doing it healthily. I've had similar reactions from people on here(I'm at 150 trying to get to 125) and I think some people with more to lose don't take us with less to lose as seriously. Like it isn't as important…
  • I like to wait as long as I can before I start eating for the day, because if I eat breakfast it's like the floodgates of hunger are opened and I tend to go over my goals. The most enjoyable eating schedule for me is to fit all of my calories in from like 5-10 pm so I start grazing around then. But I log in the morning, so…
  • http://www.ehealthme.com/ds/fish+oil/thirst Erm, no idea how credible this is but a google search shows lots of thirsty fish oil takers. Edit: crap I just realized how old this thread is. Sorry y'all.
  • Because black coffee is free in the design building at my college and tea is not and I like free things and caffeine. If I could find a way to make it palatable that would be preferable to buying tea at starbucks or drinking cold tea from home. I like hot tea. The architecture people guard their microwave jealously. Also…
  • That reminds me of crackers with goat cheese and pepper jelly. But I like mine better. Regular jelly sounds odd. Who knows though.
  • I'm losing way faster since I stopped exercising, but I think I was going too hard at the gym. Hence tearing my meniscus, hence break from exercise.
  • Are you going to live in a dorm? I lost 15 pounds my freshman year, and a bit more. It was due to having a teeny tiny roommate who made me embarrassed to snack so I ate sensibly at "home" I also drank more alcohol and ate more pizza than I ever had in my life but I didn't have a bike or a car so I had to walk like 4 miles…
  • It is a bit less sweet than like Jif, but if you eat it on fruit or a sandwich with sweet jelly it's not terribly noticeable. I love it =] people will argue that it takes out most of the peanuts' nutrients but if you're just satisfying a craving you can get your nutrients elsewhere.
  • Are these american sizes? I am 5'5'', 156 and I wear womens american pant size 4/6 or a junior's 7. I'm only a 4 at old navy but that hardly counts because they're known for their vanity sizing(it works. I keep going back there lol).
  • Another way to look at it: If you're spending more calories on protein, the percentage of your calories that go to fat and carbs will be smaller. Most people think this is a good thing. Like, supplement if you need more protein to fit your macros?
  • Whey protein is low in calories if you find a good brand without a lot of other stuff! Some add carbs and things and are meant for bulking, or they have fillers or the flavoring adds calories/sugar. There are 4 calories per gram of protein. Always. If your powder has 25 grams of protein in a scoop, it should have around…
