  • Ow Ow! Nice job!!
  • I still drink my cafe lattes... but I always get a small (tall) with skim milk. It brings the calorie count down, and I can't tell the difference. I also don't use any sugar. Periodically I'll treat myself to one of the 'fancy' lattes if I'm shopping and on my feet, but even then I ask them to just use half of the amount…
  • Thanks for the inspiration! You look healthier, happier, and more confident!!
  • I'm in! I'd love to lose 15 pounds before Christmas, and I just started again with MFP November 1st.
  • Let's go March! Time to fit back into my bikini :) 5 pounds is all I ask Screen name: tig3rang3l Goal for March 31st: 147 March1st (starting weight): 152 March 8th: March 15th: March 22nd: March 29th: March 31st:

  • Bumping for later :)
  • Hey guys! I thought I'd just share with you that you can make your own 'greek yogurt', if you'd like to! Tends to be cheaper, and you can use your favourite plain yogurt to make it (that way you can get organic if you'd like). Greek yogurt is just strained yogurt, which removes the whey. Just line a colander with a cheese…
  • Hey, I have to agree with everyone else here, you need to eat more. And it really matters what you eat, and when. You need to be having a good breakfast with lots of protein and a bit of carbs to start the day. Especially if you're exercising or exerting yourself. Your dinner should be a fairly light meal, I try to keep…
  • Thanks for replying! No, I haven't taken any medications... most of what's available to 'treat' the condition has worse side-effects than the actual hand sweating. It is more of an annoyance, it prevents me from shaking hands and definitely limits the wardrobe choices. If the cutting out dairy/gluten doesn't help, I'll…
  • I'm not sure how much it's been helping, but I've started adding a little bit of lemon juice to my water each day. It makes the water taste better and fresher, quenches my thirst better, and it's also taking away some of my bloating.
  • Heeeey that's so not ruining everything!!!!!!!!!!! You've lost 9 pounds so far, one day doesn't kill you. Put it in perspective... You've been doing great! You've seen the mistake, recognize why it happened (emotional triggers? Not eating enough?) and figure out a way to solve it! Tomorrow is a brand new day, and you'll…
  • This is all helpful, thanks everyone! I'm going to try GNC this week, I went to nutrition house and found them less than helpful :(
  • Cut it out for two weeks, put the salt shaker in a locked drawer somewhere, and then slowly start using it again after the two weeks is up... in smaller quantities. It's like carbs... you need to get your body used to not having it for a while. You'll feel 100% better and less bloated! Also, try those no salt/no MSG…
  • Hello all! Honestly, I did very little 'dieting' this week... it was my dad's birthday and it felt like one thing after another. However, I am working more, which means I'm on my feet more often (and not snacking!) as well as swimming now that the weather is warm enough... I guess that's where the pounds went! Hope you all…
  • You'll get there Brandi! That's great that you are losing inches though, truthfully that's the important part, right??? How you look and how you feel, not some number on a scale. Keep with it!
  • I've been doing a little research on this, because I drink A LOT of diet coke, and so does my family. Since I started looking into it, though, I've cut back significantly. There seems to be a lot of evidence popping up that not only is pop just bad for you in general (even for your teeth...) aspartame itself does some…
  • Hi everyone! I backslid a little this weekend.... new BBQ had to be broken in, and then Sunday was my niece's Christening with far too much good food available. Ah well, at least I didn't gain. Starting weight 04/13/09: 158.0 90 day goal: 128.0 04/20/09: 157 (-1) 04/27/09: 156 (-1) 05/04/09: 154 (-2) 05/11/09: 153 (-1)…
  • Hey Brooke, Don't give up! It is so frustrating, and we know because most of us have been there. My understanding of starvation mode is this... you will still lose weight, but it is harder, and it becomes very easy to regain the weight if you slip up at all.…
  • It would be great if the majority of men figured this out while they were still in their twenties... But thanks for the nice words
  • Honestly? Eat more. Try it for a week or two, eat your excercise calories... if you don't come down, go see the doc and make sure it isn't thyroid/hormone related. Good luck!!!
  • Hey everyone, happy Monday! I'M FINALLY OUT OF THE 150s!!!! *does a happy dance* I celebrated by buying myself a new bikini and some new clothes. Most are still a little tight, but that's alright, I'm planning on still losing more weight. That's a total of 15 pounds in 2 months  Starting weight 04/13/09: 158.0 90…
  • Oi... ok, I'm apparently blind and missed Brandi's post about us moving!!! :blushing: Allow me to repost what I posted Monday in the right spot: Good morning guys! I started back at work full time this last week, and as a result ate pretty badly... and didn't get to the gym. Today is my day off and I'm heading down to the…
  • Hey, I'm not a dietitian, but I thought I would weigh in anyway... Read the disclaimer at the bottom of the page  First, try cutting out the pop... caffeine and sodium tend to dry you out. Also, I find that herbal tea doesn't go through me quite as fast as water. Second, on the dry mouth... do you have diabetes?…
  • Good morning guys! I started back at work full time this last week, and as a result ate pretty badly... and didn't get to the gym. Today is my day off and I'm heading down to the gym now. I hope you guys did better! Starting weight 04/13/09: 158.0 90 day goal: 128.0 04/20/09: 157 (-1) 04/27/09: 156 (-1) 05/04/09: 154 (-2)…
  • I bought it about a year ago, and saw no difference whatsoever.... I don't know if the product has changed, but the stuff I got from Nivea was a blue cream, and it was very sticky and stained anything it came in contact with. Let me know if they've updated it since I first bought it, good luck!
  • This is what I do... When I bake bread, I enter in everything that I put into it and then save it as a meal. Then I divide. Unfortunately, a lot is guesstimating... but I doubt 100 calories from one day to the next will make a huge difference.
  • It's doable... especially if you are just starting out. That's about what I've lost... 13 since April 1st.
  • This has been posted before, I can't find the other link, but I found it very helpful. Good luck http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/core_march_8.htm

  • I second this... I'm 5'2, and I found 1200 calories very difficult to stay within... I lost weight for about a month with that setting, but I think I did it harder than it had to be. Amazingly enough, I just stepped up to 1400 and I started losing MORE weight. Your body is telling you something when you are hungry…
