Is it completely unhealthy to try to get down 15lbs by the end of July?

It's doable... especially if you are just starting out. That's about what I've lost... 13 since April 1st.

I think that all depends. Some people can lose easily without starving themselves or being crazy, some can't.

I lost 10 pounds my first month on MFP, but I have a lot to lose.

    good luck to you.

Well I started with the Diet Tribe too, but with finals and my mini session, I have done horrible the past 3 weeks. I'm starting over today and I'm hoping I can get down quick. I have a big problem with cheating, not just one day, but Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday. I'm hoping if I can keep my cheating down and my work out time up I can lose!

I doubt it would kill you, but I think 2 lbs per week is generally considered a little fast. But if you've got a good reason,, go for it.

you can do it, that's on 7 1/2 pounds a month which is less than 2 pounds a week. Totally doable! Eat healthy and lots of excercise!
  • People at my gym average about 12 pounds a month...but they work their tooshies off I don't know if it is heathly though...I would say that loosing it slowly is a better way to keep it off. I am lucky if I get 6 pounds a month...but it stays off.

    JUST BE HEATHLY!!!
