  • I always look at it the night before. I like to mentally prepare myself for it. Especially because I'm not a total newbie but somewhat newbie (started in June) I like to look up the different kinds of lifting just as a "Oh, that's what it is" kind of thing. I also have a bum knee so I like to know where I'll be modifying.
  • Wet tea bags on the hands help out a lot. it helped take a lot of the sting out and it also helps dry the area out so it can heal quicker.
  • I started crossfit two weeks ago. I'm 5'5 and 233 lbs. You can start at ANY stage of fitness, I'm proof of that. All that is needed is an "I'm going to kick this WOD's butt" attitude. I love crossfit. Most supportive group of ladies I've met!!!

  • I do not count cleaning as exercise. However, today I did pull a lot of weeds (four bags worth!) and hauled heavy branches so I did consider that since it was really super taxing.
  • I have an eliptical that I use a minimum of 5 days a week. I have two kiddos at home so I squeeze in workouts while they're asleep during nap. Well, supposed to be asleep, lol.
