A little late on the weigh in for this week: Challenge Weight: 181.8 Current Weight: 178.8 Memorial Day Goal: 169 Gained a pound last week. The result of a very long Easter weekend and to much sangria and beergarden grub. Back on track now. Have to learn to restrain myself from over-indulging when I'm out.

I'm not looking forward to this week's weigh-in. I had a little too much bar food when I went out for a friend's birthday. I'm going to try my best (fingers crossed) to watch my plate at Easter dinner.

I have Type 2 as well. She can check out the American Diabetes Association website, dlife.com, myrecipes.com/diabetic-recipes and allrecipes.com. Just about every recipe website will offer some type of diabetic recipes, but the ones I listed are where I get the majority of my recipes.

Welcome to my MFP!! I joined about a month ago and I'm already seeing results. It's very helpful. I had a huge snacking problem, especially on the weekends and my logs helped me to see that I was consuming to many calories just on snacks. Now, I cut back on some of my favorite snacks and mix in really healthy ones as well.…

I'm in the same boat as you. I usually go through all the super market flyers and try to find the best deal. Coupon clipping is really good as well. I've found really good deals this way. I usually make a list and then I find the supermarkets near me that has the best deals on my food list. Try getting your coupons from…

Always trust your instincts.. DO see another doctor. Did she even talk to you about seeing a nutritionist or diabetes educator? I'm with you - it sounds a little weird. When I was diagnosed by dr had a long talk with me about what I needed to do, referred me to the nutritionist and explained my meds to me. I know that this…

My lowest recorded bs level was 48. I checked because I was feeling weird and started feeling very light-headed and shaky. I sucked on a lollipop, ate a piece of flatbread and had some juice to get into the normal range. For me, it's usually between 80 - 130.

Hey, does being a nanny count? I'm a nanny who spend 11 hours a day chasing after a very active 16-month old. Now there is a new addition - a newborn. Feel free to add me. I like the idea of a mini-support group.

Wow!! Good job. You inspire me to keep at it.

Chinese food or hot cross buns. Just had sesame chicken on Saturday. Since it's so many calories, I'll do the Chinese once in a month.

Bless you. I sometimes eat on the run and it can be hard to find something that won't send my numbers sky high.

I was diagnosed a year ago with Type 2 diabetes. It does all depend on what your sugar numbers are alike. My sugars have always ranged, with one or two exceptions, within the 80's to 90's fasting and 90- 140 post meals. I basically added more whole grains to my diet and watched my portions. For me, it's been hard to count…
