  • What they all said. I found that doing the 30Ds and trying to stay at 1200 calories, I was eating too little. Started eating back what I lost doing the shred, increasing protein, I still didn't lose dramatically but was down 2.5 lbs from week 2 by week three (with only about 10 lbs total to drop that isn't bad) but more…
  • I've had problems with my knees since a bout with lyme disease several years ago. Sometimes they ache for no reason and they are def. sensitive to the 30DS. I modify the exercises to skip a lot of the intensive impact stuff (do skaters instead of high knees, for example) and pay attention to making sure my butt goes back…
  • Thanks, all. Shira, great link!!!
  • I just finished it (before I broke my toe) and started over with heavier weights, doing all the hardest versions of the exercises and using INTENSITY and INTENTION, which made it a challenge again. I wasn't dying, but I definitely felt it
  • I didn't post yesterday but I did accept and complete the challenge. I'm gonna do this one, too!
  • Thank you all! Paul Eugene Chair Aerobics was pretty funny, but I'm definitely gonna give it a try.
  • I would still have to be on my feet, though, and I'm supposed to stay off my feet. :-(
  • BUMP!
  • Ditto! I do skaters in place of the high knees. I should try subbing the JJs, too, as my knees still suffer. I would say do not skip due to soreness. As sore as I was, I still pushed through and felt better after the workout then on the sore day I skipped. Mod if you need to, though.
  • Oh, and yes, layering a sports bra over will help.
  • I just finished, and restarted yesterday, doing all advanced moves and using 5 lb weight for a lot. When I started, a month ago, no, I could not finish level 1, and I HURT for days after. I'm talking, sitting down on toilet was more like falling onto the seat. LOL. However, it is SO gratifying to see what changes you can…
  • Well, I would look at what you're eating, not just calories... because if you're eating low cal, nutrient dense foods, 1200 can be plenty.
  • How many calories are you consuming daily?
  • My profile pic is cropped at the top and that is HIGHLY offensive. I quit. Oh, and I don't eat waffles. People who eat waffles are offensive.

  • I might suspect an allergy to a food you're eating more of than previously?
  • lol googled and Where is the phrase "Dollars to Donuts" from? Sometime in the 1880's, the phrase "dollars to doughnuts" became a popular way of saying one was fairly certain of something. It replaced the similar terms "dollars to buttons" and "dollars to dumplings". The new phrase had the benefit of alliteration to give it…
  • Gatorade diluted by half with water, to keep hydrated. Strep can also cause upset stomach, so it makes sense he doesn't want to eat. Poor baby.
  • My fall-back is Denise Austin (free on ESPN!) I record it daily, she does a different workout every day of the week focusing on different areas of the body. On ambitious days I do 2 back to back or double the cardio part.
  • I "only" have 15 lbs to lose as my goal, but had been working out for an hour a day for a month and had lost NOTHING... then googled and found MFP, read about eating exercise cals, started logging and discovered that I was eating waaaaaay less than I should. After about a week of eating all my alloted cals AND my exercise…
  • lol, ok, but have no idea how many cals it does have...
  • OMG it's true! Making sure to eat all my calories, have lost 2 lbs now. Amazing. Thanks all for the welcomes, am loving it here
  • I entered this into my log and it says -78 cals. How can it say minus calories???
  • I nursed 3 babies each until after 2... (was also a LLL leader for awhile) and I think it depends on your body and baby. My typical was holding onto all weight until baby hit 6 months, and then starting to lose, regardless of food (I just didn't pay attention to that much! No time!) and each baby was different, 2 still…
  • There's an entry in aerobics for gardening/general
  • Would you all think I'm a total freak if I admitted to grabbing this stuff while weeding and snacking on it? lol. I don't use chems in my garden. ;-)
  • Flax seed can be added to any baked good, but is really delicious ground about half way (to leave some crunchiness) and added in place of some of the flour in banana bread. I've also used it in carrot cake. Works really well. In the Joy of Vegan baking (awesome book) she explains how to use it instead of eggs in many baked…
  • Hi, 37 yr old mommy of 4. After my last baby (who's now 4.5) I decided to get in shape and started doing Denise Austin 5x week... lot my baby weight and got down to 118 (I'm 5.2") a size 2, which was smaller than I had ever been, the best shape of my life. Maintained that for 2 yrs, got rid of all my "fat" clothes... then…
