These are brilliant guys. A lot of familiar themes here for me too! And some heartbreaking ones :(

Thought I'd bring this back-been off awhile and keen for some new friends!

I'm an Aussie too, just across the ditch for now!

Sad update, whilst the siege is now over, two hostages were killed. There aren't anymore reliable facts at the moment. It's an awful thing to happen in such a beautiful place

As an Aussie living in NZ at the moment, I was following the news and found this hashtag being shared #illridewithyou . Check it out, another reason to be proud of Australians and how we band together in the spirit of "mateship"

These were awesome! Mine were nice and fluffy too! Only thing I changed was using a whole egg instead of just the white. Thanks for the recipe :D

Hey guys! Thanks heaps for the messages :D Was trying to keep up with adding everyone but i'm not spending as much time on the forums so, feel free to add me- I'm definitely not snobbing you if I haven't added you yet, just overwhelmed by the amazing response!

I'm really sorry. Wasn't intending to hijack this thread but I feel almost negligent not clarifying some things. An intolerance is NOT an allergy. An allergy and intolerance may present similarly and/or have similar associated things but they are not the same. HOWEVER, if you have a known allergy then please avoid your…

Oh right. I read her response to mean it was a struggle but she * didn't* eat it because she'd been diagnosed as allergic. Damn Internet, makes it hard to know what the intended meaning is. But yes, if that's the case (ie anybody eating stuff they know they're allergic to) then regardless of the reason, it's stupid and…

Just out of interest... why does that not make sense? You can develop allergies to almost anything, so the recently diagnosed bit makes sense. And allergic reactions can range from anything to a mild rash to severe anaphylaxis so....? Does seem to make sense! Btw, OP, one thing I found was to buy single serve portions…

You Sir/Madam, raise an excellent point :) My criteria for friendship here are generally 1) Nice, 2) Not a frequent user of the term "YOLO" so... add me :)

Yikes! I hope that was a typo- as a medic, the idea of being on a gurney scares the crap out of me! Also... didn't say that, nor anything like that nor do I mean it. It was a tongue-in-cheek comment.. I even put a disclaimer there :D

I got my fur baby from an animal welfare shelter so... thank you :D I know it's not the same one but massive kudos for what you do.

Le bump?

I love that my google history now has the word "Chiweenie" in it!!! Haha, I had no idea what they were but very adorable. In the absence of any awesome hybrid, I decided awhile ago that I have a "catten"... he's a bit big to still be a kitten but too young to be a cat!

*shrug* I figure keeping a baby in there and carrying it around/ all the contractions having it have gotta work out that uterine muscle pretty hard!

Have loved reading through all the comments! I finally twigged about the " experimentation" references after watching the news. Interestingly, mfp is starting to take over some of the Internet time for me that facebook used to consume! Why? Because its actually pretty interesting and the friends on here are pretty damn…

I'm not 12 either. And absolutely, there is no point to it. Nor is there any point for a lot of random thoughts/feelings, especially the counter productive ones. They still happen though. Don't get me wrong, I'm not home crying into my tea about it but I'll admit, there are times when I'm at work on a Saturday night…

I think the carcinogenic nature has to do with the temperature people drink it at. As for sleep, yep, it's incredible :) Just don't seem to get enough energy during the day! The tea seems to help, could be the caffeine or could just be placebo

Bradycardia just means a slow heart rate (normal is considered between 60-100 bpm). Some people just have slow heart rates, some people get them by becoming fitter and sometimes it's a sign of something amiss. Your doc can do an ECG and have a look at the rhythm pretty easily. If your resting heart rate is dropping after a…

Can't stop giggling at the profile pic... sensational!

Thanks guys! Love the idea of the veggie packs... much better than vending machine food :)
-
Hahaha, thanks for the replies everyone! Got a wicked laugh out of it! In retrospect, I should have specified "junk food"! You'll all be pleased to know his junk is most certainly not everywhere :)

Bump :(

Great! Can't wait until we all hit whatever goals we have... hi fives all around :)
-
Haha, I'm sorry! Autocorrect must have changed " people" to "pele"! Sounds great though, will definitely check it out. Hoping they'll have it here in Australia.

Added :)

I'm interested :)

Thanks guys! Absolutely AABru, sometimes being in a public position makes it impossible! I know exactly what you mean though, after racing around every waking moment of the day, time to work out isn't always the first thing on my mind. My hospital doesn't have a gym or stress relief classes unfortunately... It's one of the…
