Hi everyone! I've recently been recommended this tea because it's meant to give you energy but was wondering if that's true? There's a lot of conflicting information about it but was wondering if anyone has had it, or had any good/bad effects with it?Thanks!

It's a tea that has more caffeine than most tea, and a little less than coffee.

Never tried it. Meth seems to work for me.

I bought loads when I was in South America but haven't tried it yet, because when I googled it, some sources said it can be bad for you and can even be carcinogenic!

I find that sleeping gives me energy. Plus it's free!

I think the carcinogenic nature has to do with the temperature people drink it at. As for sleep, yep, it's incredible :) Just don't seem to get enough energy during the day! The tea seems to help, could be the caffeine or could just be placebo

i used to love that stuff in college. there was a great little coffee shop near campus that made the best yerba mate lattes. it's Costa Rican, yeah?

no idea about how it might affect energy levels. i'm a coffee drinker, and when i was into yerba mate it was mostly for the yummy taste and the groovy coffee shop.
