Hi everyone! I've recently been recommended this tea because it's meant to give you energy but was wondering if that's true? There's a lot of conflicting information about it but was wondering if anyone has had it, or had any good/bad effects with it?Thanks!

It's a tea that has more caffeine than most tea, and a little less than coffee.0

Never tried it. Meth seems to work for me.0

Can't stop giggling at the profile pic... sensational!0

I bought loads when I was in South America but haven't tried it yet, because when I googled it, some sources said it can be bad for you and can even be carcinogenic!0

I find that sleeping gives me energy. Plus it's free!0

I think the carcinogenic nature has to do with the temperature people drink it at. As for sleep, yep, it's incredible Just don't seem to get enough energy during the day! The tea seems to help, could be the caffeine or could just be placebo0

i used to love that stuff in college. there was a great little coffee shop near campus that made the best yerba mate lattes. it's Costa Rican, yeah?
no idea about how it might affect energy levels. i'm a coffee drinker, and when i was into yerba mate it was mostly for the yummy taste and the groovy coffee shop.0 -
It's just tea that has a lot of caffeine.0
