  • You can organize smth yourself. That way you'd be in control of what food was around. You could organize a hike even. When I go out I bring something along with me and just eat that instead. I have really good self control though so passing on hotdogs, beers etc is nbd to me. I also burn a lot of calories 500ish before…
  • That doesn't sound right! What's your TDEE? We probably have different stats, but I personally would be gaining a lot of weight at over 2000 calories. If you give us your height, weight and exercise level, someone will let you know if your macro goals are reasonable. Btw I'm currently doing iifym at 1200-1400 cals/day.
  • I lost around 50 lbs when I was 17 (4 years ago). I maintained a good weight of 124 - 127 lbs (im 5'6) for years. I gained 10 lbs last year though. I've lost 8 of those lbs in the past 2.5 months. Doing it a second time has been a lot easier. I know exactly what to do and how to do it. The first time I didn't know how to…
  • When I take a bite of something and it's too complicated to log properly, I'll use the quick add option and add about 30 calories or whatever.
  • That's such a big improvement! Way to go!
  • Chocolate flavored whey haha. I use double chocolate whey iso from gnc. It tastes amazing just mixed with water and there's only 2g of carbs in it, so almost 100% of the calories (140 i think) are from protein.
  • I rarely eat either, so I was surprised when I was conparing the nutrition facts of different brands of bread. Some had like 10g of protein, some had super high fiber, some were low on both and obviously the calories varied between brands too. I'm sure wraps are the same too, so you probably just need to spend a little…
  • No seriously, that's what the scientific term for it is called. One experience is enough if it's traumatic enough. There's been so many studies on this and you can find it across species. If you're actually interested, you can find the original study if you google pavlov's dogs.
  • They've just been conditioned to have that response. Look up pavlov's dogs. Maybe that'll help you understand how the brain works.
  • No don't eat them. The only time I eat back the calories I burn is when I'm going out that night and need the extra calories to avoid being over my goal.
  • You're eating too much. You're probably consuming more calories than you're tracking and/or overestimating the amount of calories you burn. Don't eat any of your exercise calories for the next 2 weeks and see what happens. If still nothing, then decrease your calories. With so much weight to lose you should be seeing way…
  • Spin and this other gym class that's a blend of plyometrics, calisthetics and resistance training. Sometimes I have an urge to go for a run, but I get bored after a mile or so haha.
  • & you can probably get away with losing 3 lbs a week, since you have quite a bit to lose. Don't expect results like on the shows though and don't aim for them, the ppl on there are monitored by doctors etc.
  • I don't think you should run 3 hrs/wk. Since you weigh so much it'll be extra hard on your knees. If I were you, I'd get my weight down by about 60 lbs before doing anything high impact i.e running. You could go for a walk for a hour instead, increasing your speed as you get more comfortable with the pace. Since you like…
  • Nope, there's been days where I've had like 60g of my protein come from greek yogurt. Milk is also another source that I like, it's quick and cheap! I usually have a skim milk and a 2% in my fridge, so if I'm low on fats it helps me fix that too. & whey iso is my fav. I ran out a while ago, but when I had it I was having 2…
  • +1 for gym classes. I'm addicted to them, esp spin
  • Order one beer, but also order water and keep getting that refilled. If you're only taking occasional sips from the beer it'll last longer. Do you have to wait until everyone else wants to go to leave the bar? If it's a big group, then leaving after a hour or so shouldn't be a big deal, especially if you spent the whole…
  • You could eat 1400 calories and burn 250 calories a day through exercise to lose 1.5 lbs before your wedding. Edit: Oops sorry didn't see your post until after! You could definitely eat 1200 calories a day if you're not going to exercise. Don't make a habit of eating less than that though, and make sure everything you eat…
  • Thanks, I'll be checking that link a lot the next few days! I'll probably post pond the hike until the sky is blue again. Not being able to see anything at the view points would be disappointing.
  • Skim milk, chicken, 0 fat greek yogurt
  • Yeah it wasn't affecting my breathing earlier, but now all I'm doing is sitting inside and having a slightly harder time. I was planning on hiking up the Chief, so probs not the best plan. Guess tmr will be another gym day.
  • Logging made me see that my protein and calcium were too low. It also made me see how too much fruit is a thing. I love apples, I used to have like 10 a day, but now I know apples have very little fiber but have a lot of calories, sugar and carbs.
  • Just so you know, broccoli and cauliflower cause a lot of bloating! They're very nutrient dense, so deffs eat them, but just keep that in mind before eating loads of them before going to the beach or something! Also, like the other comment said, you should still log the calories. They're low, but they also matter.
  • Like the others said, weigh before cooking it. I started losing more weight when I started weighing it frozen rather than cooked! I eat chicken basically everyday and that was the only factor that had changed.
  • I ran a 5k once when it was completely pouring! I live in Vancouver, so that's saying a lot haha. It made me feel really bad *kitten*, esp after I was soaked and didn't care anymore. Just buy some waterproof gear if you wanna do it frequently :)
  • Then don't eat anything you can't log. If you regret your relationship so much, then why don't you end it? It's not fair to him to be in a relationship with someone so unloving.
  • Subways quality sucks. I feel full after eating their subs, but I also feel like I wasted calories because of how bad it tastes. I've tried most of their subs from veggie to chicken throughout my life, so not like it was a one time bad experience. Pita pit and quiznos aren't great either, but deffs prefer them to subway!
  • On Canada Day I got super drunk, but stayed under my calorie limit. I ran 5k in the morning to help me out though haha. I had a mickey of vodka (880 calories) with a 0 calorie lemonade mix. I also had a couple of sangrias. I didn't eat much that day, my carbs were at like 50g, but I had 100g of protein. I think you just…
  • Once a week! Once in a while it's twice a week if I'm too busy.
  • You could eat fruit. I always have to limit my fruit so I won't go over. An apple isn't the most nutrient dense, but it does have a lot of calories! This has already been mentioned, but grains for sure will boost up your calories. Quinoa, barely, oats etc have a decent amount of protein in them too. Whole fat milk will…
