  • I have this same issue but generally only when I run outside. Recently I joined a gym and my solution is run 30 minutes on the treadmill and then finishing up cardio on the eliptical. Or I take cardio classes which never make me hurt! Maybe this would work for you too. Good Luck!
  • Keep eating! I know it sounds wrong but it's all about what you're choosing to eat. And this stress will be over soon and then you can get back to the better diet. Try these things: Nutella with crunchy, sweet apple slices Laughing cow wedges with whole wheat crackers Edamame Frozen grapes Pasta mixed with a bunch of…
  • Congrats to all who are doing well today! I am doing great this week...first week in so long that I've felt motivated daily. I did get asked out on a date though and am nervous. I've been single for 3 years and HATE dates! I like who I am but not how I look right now. I don't want to sit there and not eat anything or have…
  • I have that video. It kicks your butt and afterwards you feel FABULOUS! (the No More Trouble Zones...forgot to hit quote)
  • Hello All!!~ Congrats to those who have lost and are on track and hugs to those who are having troubles. Last week I finally joined two dance classes to help me stay HAPPY when I workout. I've danced my entire life but got lazy over the summer. It was a huge wake-up call since two of the ladies in the class were moms and…
  • I never really check for support because I feel like I'm in my own boat but how amazing to find this! I work as bartender and nanny and I'm a student sooo I get about three hours of sleep every morning and random naps when I can't keep my eyes open. Unlike most of you I work nights four times a week but also days five…

  • Is it too late to join? I'm 22 and like a lot of you work full-time, school full-time, and trying to get to a healthy body weight. Thanks for starting this!!
  • I love salads with the precooked chicken breast strips. Check at the grocery store near the chicken for these packages of chicken...they are amazing in salads. I use a whole grain wrap that's only 100 cals. and spread nonfat cream cheese or avocado and add anything I want into the wrap. I also love "snacky-food" meals.…
  • Thanks everybody! Unfortunately with both of my jobs I do not get lunch breaks and I'm on for ten hours straight. Getting up at 5AM seems like the only way to fit a workout in. Hopefully it works!!!
  • To calculate the amount of calories burned per workout I go to http://www.prohealth.com/weightloss/tools/exercise/calculator1_2.cfm?emptyfield=weight. This site adjusts to your weight, length of exercise and type of workout. Hope this helps!
  • Thanks so much! I actually already eat really healthy and only home cooked foods and drink TONS of water. All I need is a real eating schedule. That would definately help as well as finding time to work out.
  • Hey Peyton! I am right there with you! I also have a beautiful sister--she looks like a barbie doll with a perfect husband, dog, job, new car, nice house, etc. Then....there's me! On Easter my sister ate like a bunny...I ate like godzilla. She promptly reminded me that I was fat and didn't look healthy. Thanks! Trying to…
  • Awww! Hugs to you! I know how it feels to deal with everything ALL at once. You are not alone...I am awake but exhausted right along with you right now. Keep your goals in mind! Remember who your doing this for....YOU! And while you work out and keep your hands out of the cookie jar, remember that you have thousands of…
  • I'm a bartender...and I should know what alcohol does to you! I have a customer who stopped drinking about two months ago. She has lost 20 pounds since she stopped drinking. I drink every night I work....I'm stopping too! No more vodka....arg!
  • Thank god someone else deals with this! I work part-time nights and part-time days so sometimes I get about an hour or two of sleep for 4-5 nights in a row. How not to eat?? I keep a picture of myself at the biggest weight I ever was at and ask myself if a piece of candy or chips or any type of food is worth it. Then I…
  • Hello! I have the opposite problem...my calorie goal is set at 1200 but at times I am still super hungry and yes sometimes I don't eat enough and I get the message that I should be careful to eat more food. I think what you have to remember is that everyones metabolism is so different. If your brain is not telling your…
  • Where did you buy them? Would Target have them??
  • Good ideas! Anyone have a wii fit system or found dvd's that you love???
  • You're a teen? I hope that you are not a dancer who is feeling pressure to look like the skinny dancers and super models out there. From one young girl to another, I watched my sister slowly die from anorexia. Babe, everyone around you would rather see you healthy with a little tummy than attend your funeral. Much love to…
  • I have to say Yay!!! There are other people who feel like me! People say the exact same thing to me--"You're ridiculous! Eat the pizza!" and all that good stuff. So what are you doing to get fit? Since we are the group that isn't officially overweight, how do we target those small fat areas that SUCK!! I've read that…
  • I'm right there with you. I haven't weighed in for awhile cause I'm scared I've gained back any weight I lost and then added some pounds to what I did weigh! Ugh! I've taken everything out of my home that I eat when on a binge but I work at a bar with junk food treats all around me. I bring food with me to work but when…
  • I'm there with you! I've allowed my crazy schedule and depression to be excuses, but I can't do that this year. I'm determined that by summer i don't want to be embarrased to put on a bikini or for people to see my stomach. Thanks for the push in the right direction!! TabithaJoy
  • Hello Single Ladies! I'm in the same boat. I've been single for three years on my birthday...it's been great! I hope there is someone out there with the same situation as me; I work and go to school days for three days out of the week then I work nights as a bartender for four nights. My body is hating me with the…
  • I am right there with you! I love hard boiled eggs--one is only 70 calories and they are packed with good nutrition, especially protein. Also, if you do like salads, i found a container that holds the dressing seperate and there is a tab to suck out any air to keep the veggies/lettuce fresh. I love to then pour on the…
  • This first part of any change is recognition for change and you are obviously way past that stage so you will have the strenght to reach your goal. I know how it feels at night to lose it all, but hang in there and be strong! You are not alone on this journey and never will be.
  • Hi and kudos to everyone who is here to do what I am doing! My name is TabithaJoy, I am 21 and work as a nanny, bartender and full-time student. I live on my own with my kitty, Muki. I love to go out dancing and enjoy any time spent in the sunshine. For six months I lived with four guys who constantly told me that I was…
