  • Hi there, You're off to a good start! I'm sure you can do it! I'll add you. Helen
  • Hi Barbara, Religiously counting every calorie that goes into my mouth, is what works for me! It's very easy to underestimate calories & eat over your allowance, if you just guess. MFP has been a great help, too. I log my food for the whole day, every morning - so I know exactly what I'll be having & ensure that I don't…
  • Hi Zoe, Happy to add you & hopefully we can offer each other some support. Helen. :0)
  • Hi Lou, Welcome to MFP, it's a great site. I'm near Milton Keynes & have been on here since April. I'm happy for you to add me as a friend - I'm on every day & try to support all my friends. Good luck! Helen
  • Hi Karen, It does seem daunting when you've got a lot to lose, but take one day at a time & you'll get there! I've found this site very helpful & like to complete my food diary in advance - then I know what I'll be eating during the day & don't run out of calories by dinner time! I've lost 37lbs since joining in April &…
  • Hi, I don't have any health issues, fortunately - I'm just lazy! But I have lost 37lbs since joining MFP in April, without doing any exercise, other than everyday housework, shopping etc. I have found it very helpful just logging my food & having a bit of support from my great MFP friends. I complete my food diary in…
  • Try completing your food diary for the next couple of days, in advance. Then you'll know exactly what you're having & when. Try & focus on how hard you've worked so far & how easy it is to undo all that hard work. You don't want to end up back where you started, so you have to keep going with it! Sorry that I can't be more…
  • Most ships have a choice of restaurants & if you use the buffet style restaurant, you'll have plenty of healthy choices - as long as you have the will power to avoid all the gorgeous 'unhealthy' stuff! Also, there is usually a running track, right the way around one deck. Good luck & have a fantastic time.
  • I do that - once I start slipping, I fall right over! lol Usually, that would be it - end of diet. But.... I have found since being on here, that I have still logged my food diary accurately, even on a bad day & for some reason it seems to help me get back on the wagon the following day. I find my friends quite motivating…
  • Hi Rachel I'm down south, near Milton Keynes. Good luck & you're welcome to add me.
  • I'm near Milton Keynes. You're welcome to add me - the more support, the better! :0)
  • Personally, I don't like the scales! I hate weighing myself as it tends to cause me problems whatever the results - if I do well, I think I'll have a day off the diet as a treat & if I do badly, I think 'all that hard work for nothing, stuff the diet!' I'm only weighing myself every 3 or 4 weeks, so that I can mark my loss…
  • I know what you mean. I've felt quite 'proud' unloading my trolly at the till, over the last few weeks. Usually I'm trying to hide all the naughty stuff underneath the odd pack of tomatoes lol - it's not cheap though, all this fruit & veg!
