Not Scottish or ginger but would really like some UK friends

Hello, Yes you can get Metformin in the UK but I have heard that the side effects can be pretty rough on some women. I think it helps you to lose weight which in turn (in theory) would improve fertility but this is only what I have picked up from reading about it (I have PCOS too). It's worth speaking to your doctor and at…

Ha ha yes, I heard that too. How funny lol! :o)

Yes, I have heard of something before too called body dysmorphia which I don't know much about but it might be worth looking up. Hope your friend is ok though :o)
-
Yes, I would love to know too as I am almost at my goal weight but still unhappy with my thighs in particular :o(

Hmm.....I am having a similar dilemma too (my sugar intake on here is only 24 so I do stuggle sometimes too) but from what I have read on websites, if it's natural sugars from fruits etc then it's usually ok. It's when we eat foods with added sugars in at high quantities that you should try to cut down on these. That's my…

Banana smoothie with probiotic yoghurt, milk & peanut butter for me. A bit high on the sugars side but plenty of protein so keeps me going :o)

Well I don't see that it would do any harm..... I was a vegetarian for 13 years and ate a lot of Quorn products. I have started eating meat again but I still have Quorn every now and again mostly because it's healthier but also because it's just as good as meat most of the time (apart from those peppered steaks they do -…

They do show calories now when the box arrives. Also, a lot of them are already input onto this site by other users :o)

He there! I was diagnosed last June and lost 19lbs so far - all thanks to this site. I am about 3lbs from my GW and at the moment I am worried about whether I will be able to maintain but I can definitely say that this site has been a massive help in getting me this far. I'm still eating pretty much a normal diet but…

I'm 5'4" & my GW is 115lbs too :o)

I have never done it myself but my friend used to work for someone who was trying to set up a pole dancing for fitness business and is was basically workout classes with a pole. It was supposed to help you get super toned and it's something a little bit different I guess. I think it would definitely be worth a try! :o)

Hey well done! That's so great - really feels like a milestone doesn't it? Good luck with the rest of the weight loss :o)

Hello, I was diagnosed last June and been on this site since last September. So far I have lost 18lbs so definitely recommend that you keep on using this site. I have made some changes to my diet like eating wholewheat and low GI foods for some things like pasta, rice, bread & wraps. The other thing is to drink plenty of…

Well I think it shouldn't necessarily be the only tool you use to track your weight loss but I have certainly found it useful throughout the time I have been tracking my calorie intake. The BMI scale does have its flaws but it gives an indication as to where you are going and should only really be used as a guide and not…

Made me smile - thanks :o)

Well if we keep spreading the word here maybe they might look at taking it to other countries :o)

I'm 5'4" and my GW is 115lbs :o)

Erm.....90210, Hells Kitchen USA, The Good Wife & Coronation Street. Also X-Factor when it's on :o)

I log everything too - its not about being obsessive with calorie counting, it's about taking the process seriously and if you do then it does work. As long as what you're eating is healthy and balanced to meet your dietary needs and you are eating at least your net calories then you're not likely to do yourself any harm.…

Definitely Pierce Brosnan.....mmm.....YUMMY!!!!!

Frasier & 90210 for me :o)

The way I do it...eat my minimum (in my case 1,200). If I'm still hungry then I eat my exercise calories. Basically if my body is hungry then I'm not going to starve myself when I have calories left over but at the same time just because they're there doesn't mean you have to eat them all! :o)

Hi Clare, I have just added you as a friend - I'm sure we can help each other with our weight loss goals :o)

Could be implantation bleeding.....so maybe???

Sounds like my Nan, strictly no noise allowed at her house - even subtitles on the TV and as for having a conversation - well as long as it's done quietly it's fine lol :o)
-
Housework!!!!! Boring I know but get stuck in and you'll burn a few!!!!! Doesn;t need to be too heavy :o)

Hey, my partner & I are TTC too. I found out in June last year that I have PCOS which is what brought me to this site and I have made good progress so far. I had no idea there was a group on here like this but what a great idea.
-
Hi Michelle, I am the same as you too - I have tried dieting many times before but never really stuck to it but I started on here in September and have made great progress so I definitely recommend this site as a useful tool in helping you achieve your goals.

Hey I know it's not as easy as it sounds but just let it go over your head. Unintentionally or not you may find people make comments about your eating habits but as long as you're being honest with yourself about what you're putting into your own body then you're right, it's none of their 'dang business' lol! I had one of…
