Hello, It took me a year to lose 37 pounds, I had and have many plateaus one lasting 117 days. I went to my dr recently and found that my hormones and thyroid are out of wack which keeps me from losing weight. I get my cardio, do toning and am eating healthy. I'm on meds for the hormone issue and he'll start me on meds for…

I don't have any, never said I did, I just asked a simple question.

The program cost me out of pocket upfront $220.00. They took 11 vials of blood for blood work, did a total body bone density test, a total body tissue quantitation (told me my BMI), did a EKG, TEE and a few others. To my husband and myself I think it was well worth it! I found out what was going on with my body and can fix…

I totally understand your fears, but your body needs it! It takes a good 2 to 3 weeks to see a change, when you start eating more you may gain, but please do not be alarmed! remember it takes your body time to readjust to the new healthier way. Just like your car, if you only put a little gas in it , it wont go too far or…

WOW you look amazing girl! WTG and congrats!

Thanks for your input! I remember reading not to long ago that someone made it to their goal and was "out of here" I just think for myself, I need to stay accountable.

My journey has been slow for me, I've been on MFP for 366 days and have only lost 37 pounds. But just recently went to my Dr and had test done. My hormones, thyroid and a few other things are out of wack. Which makes it harder for me to lose. Medication will help. I've had many plateaus one lasting a 117 days...yes I was…

Here is part of my journey: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/928312-1-year-anniversary-36-pounds-lost-with-pics When I saw the dietitian, she told me not to eat under 1500. I have had several plateaus one lasting 117 days. I know how you feel. But I also learned through test with my dr. that my hormones and thyroid…

WOW, I'm totally overwhelmed!!! THANK YOU everyone for the feedback! :flowerforyou: So great to have such support. I wasn't going to post cause I didn't hit my goal like I thought I would, but you never know who might be facing the same "giants" as you and just glad I could inspire others to not give up, keep on working…

This is true, but my Dr. said that hormones and thyroid issues has kept me from losing the weight and once those are back to normal, I can lose the weight and not be struggling so much. Trust me, I thought I should of made it to my goal...just hope I can be an encouragement to others who are struggling out there!

Congrats to your loss...the hard work paid off, you look fabulous!

I started back in March last year did well until this plateau. Lost 32 pounds. I workout, get the cardio. I've done it all, switching out what I do as to not get into a routine . Not giving up cause this is not where I want to be. I just don't understand the 3+ month plateau. On the bright side, I'm not gaining it back!
-
I just know a friend of mine did it and lost 10 pounds. I've now been on a 100 day plateau so I am doing just the 3 days ( they say to do the diet for 3 days the off 4, can do 4 times in a month) hoping it will jump start my weight loss again.

Update...Well it is now day 82 of this plateau...but Helloitsdan gave me suggestions to follow and now just waiting it out. I know it will take time for my body to adjust so trying to be patient! As my sister says...Tomorrow will be a better day!
-
Yes I believe that there is no magical way...Just on a now 82 day plateau as I said earlier and thought this might help...not! helloitsdan has helped me...just need to be more patient and let my body adjust to what he proposed to me to do. Just gets depressing not seeing a change in inches or weight loss! It's harder for…

I read on the box that some side effects were cramping, nausea or frequent diarrhea but I bought it anyways trying to see if I could do more for this now 82 day plateau. Well on day one which was Sunday, I took two pills morning and two early evening as directed. I had a slight headache, but didn't think nothing of it.…

I'm 5' 4, weight 158 and right now for working out MWF work out on total gym up to 10 mins (slowly working in more as I go) and ride bike for 20 staying at 18-20mph. T TH I walk fast from 25 to 55 mins. Weekends...depends. When I first started MFP I was heavy lifting, but I want to do a workout that I know I can continue…

I have changed my foods, and workouts. I admitted I was eating junk cause I was depressed bout not losing weight or inches, but haven't gained. Just fluctuates, Eating better now. I don't want to give up but at times I feel like it. I hate plateaus...at least when you're losing it helps keep you motivated.

Sadly to say, I am at week 7 plateau... I've lost 32 pounds but can't seem to budge it. I've upped and lowered calories, changed my workout and even stopped working out some, trying different things...hopefully soon it will break. Got a little down and ate lots of junk at times, haven't gained just fluctuating but just not…

Do you have a rest day? It sounds like your body is telling you, you need rest. Rest up and go for it tomorrow.

Wonderful feeling I'm sure! Little things like that just keep us going. Congrats!
