Nothing else for the past 5 months. I do crossfit 5 x week.

I don't think it's bad, as long as you didn't take your frustration out on your partner (which you didn't if you were encouraging him). I try very hard to partner with someone at the same ability level as me, but I have been frustrated like you as well as caused some frustration for others. : ) Sometimes we just have to…

I've had 4 kids and at 11 weeks it is WAY too soon to be worrying about the weight, imho. Give it time. After my fourth it took me 9 mos. ( I nursed for a year) to get back to my pre-mommy weight. I cannot eat at all the way I used to and keep my weight in check, of course that probably has more to do with my age. I don't…

I would not work well with my husband. I like the fact that I have crossfit and he has his own activities.

We did Kelly a couple of weeks ago: 5 rounds (not sure about the order) 400 mtr run 30 box jumps(18) 30 wall balls (14) 35 min time cap I missed by 10 wall balls. It was by far the most brutal workout for me to date, going on 4 months now. I was bummed, but nothing has been that bad to date and I know that I could get…

Seeing the people at the end of the video is hysterical! I would say that I would love to try it, but it looks rough!

5 rounds: 400 mtr run 30 box jumps (18,24) 30 wall balls (14,20) 35 min cap I completed 4+51 at 18/14.

I google "at home crossfit workouts" when I'm looking for something to do outside of the box. Good luck!

I hit the 3 month anniversary with crossfit and I have not lost a single pound. In hindsight I wish I had lost some weight before starting crossfit, but I have still seen wonderful changes in my body. I am my own worst enemy in that I do not eat the way I should, but I'm becoming more and more motivated to do so.

I have done kegels, correctly, many times throughout the years. It may help with things like sneezing, but does nothing to help with different WOD exercises. I have recently been upping my weights for certain lifts and have been having leakage issues with those now. I just pad up and shower.

I have been using 26lb kb's for the past 8 weeks or so and today I rx'd the workout with 100yd bear crawl and 150 kb swings at 36lbs (17:45). Now there's no going back!!! : )

I don't really care how hard anyone else works during a WOD. I push myself and work to improve every time. If someone else chooses not to, that's their choice. I am inspired every day by what others have accomplished. : )

When I first noticed my *kitten* rash, I almost went to the hospital because I couldn't figure out what caused it. I only felt it a few hours after the workout and then noticed the blood..... I have done sit ups since and have not had it happen again, possibly from going slower for fear of *kitten* rash. Between that and…

I literally had a dime size hole in my shoulder due to infected stitches, but I continued to go to the box. My coach would give me alternative exercises. Mind you I could still squat, damnit, but push up, pull ups, kettle bells and upper body lifts were not possible. Best of luck and I hope you're feeling better soon. : )

I miss the box at least once when we do box jumps. Luckily I haven't scraped my legs up, yet.... I can totally understand the tear, although for me that fear is reserved for overhead squats. : ) Best of luck, no doubt you will slowly but surely conquer your fear. : )

Looks interesting but I have a hard enough time just remembering what my WOD is on any particular day. Best of luck to everyone who participates in this challenge!!

I was running before starting crossfit and was able to run 3-5 miles 4-5 times a week. I don't have a problem running in WODS, it's just that my pace is SO much slower. I'm used to slow and steady. ;o) LadyEm, I started about 6 weeks ago (did my 30th workout today!) and I have not lost a single ounce. However, my arms are…

Ditto. I'd love to be added to your friend list. I've been doing crossfit for 6 weeks and.although I LOVE it, my frustration is with my weight. I love the changes in my body so far, but wonder if it will ever show on the scale... Of course it doesn't help.that my husband said he'd rather see me skinny than "cut". Sigh....

I would love to wear tiny spandex shorts, but if I did I would probably be arrested (deservedly so). I wear exactly what you wear, except I wear my husband's t-shirts to cover my *ss. : )

I've been at it for a little over a month and I still get anxious for pretty much every WOD. I came in pretty much dead last and had people cheering me on. Do your best, that's what matters most. Good luck and HAVE FUN!!

Thanks all for the input. I am somewhat reassured that there is no pain during movement, but I agree 100% about making sure my form is right. I am definitely going to ice and find good mobility stretches, and although I'm going to the box today, I'm to do little as far as weight. Thanks again, you all were very helpful. : )

I am sending good vibes!! Congrats to your niece for taking the plunge!! : )

Overhead are the worst! Pretty sure I've done them once, barely. I think 25 was what I did and I was pissed! : )
-
WOD 3 rounds for time: 400 meter run 21 bar facing burpees 12 front squats (rx 95, I did 45) 19:38 I will slowly but surely approach RX. Right now focusing on the deep squat without falling over. : )

Congratulations!!! What a great way to end your week. : ) Keep up the good work!

Hi Top, I had been running 3-5 miles 3-4 days a week on the treadmill. After a couple of runs outside, the shin splints set in. I started to really like running outside and probably never rested enough between "splint incidences". : ) I'm hoping to avoid them altogether this time. I hope you continue to run splint free and…
