  • Right now I'm going in as a 74Delta (Chemical, Biological,Radiological,Nuclear specialist) I really want to be a 68M (Nutrition care specialist) but I'm going to school first so I can do that as a officer. :)
  • Try making designated meal times. That way you can't eat everything early in the day, it'll be spaced out.
  • But unlike most Americans, you're doing something about it. Believe in yourself. Beating yourself up wont change you. Hating yourself just makes it worse. You're worth it.
  • Eat some protein to slow the sugar rush down. Have a chicken breast and some broccoli or something. You're going to be hungry as hell the next day or two, but it's okay. Sweety, I've even 3 pints of ice cream, a huge pack of oreos, and 4 pb&j sandwhiches in one night. I bounced back, so will you. <3
  • No, WHITE PROCESSED CARBS do that to blood sugar levels. Whole grain and whole wheat metabolize slowly. White bread= A quick rise in blood sugar, and quick drop. Whole grain= A slow rise, and slow drop. Being an athlete, we do "white carb builds" the night before a meet. Because it turns into sugar when it hits the blood…
  • That's because you aren't eating carbs, carbs are what makes us crave things. Ever hear that people on atkins lose their appetite? That's why. They're not eating carbs. Wheat doesn't make you fat, too many calories make you fat. I don't think a life without wheat products is substantial, and for some people it's just going…
  • Houston Tx. United states army. 74Delta (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear specialist)
  • This. I can not tell you how many times I've explained this to people. You're amazing.
  • When you go to meps, son, you're healthy as a horse. Tell your recruiter everything, don't hide one thing from him, and he'll tell you step by step what to say when they ask you anything. Usually the answer will be no. Also, if you're worried about medical records, have your recruiter run a security clearance on you.…
  • Why are you counting calories when you're pregnant? Just eat healthy, don't over do it on the naughty things, and enjoy your little one. You'll have all the time after to worry about weight. counting calories is a stressful task, don't even do it.
  • Don't wait, for many reasons. 1: I waited, and ended up, "skinny fat" Ya see, when you go into a deficit, your body burns fat AND muscle. So, if you're not building muscle, your losing it. So yeah, you'll lose weight, but you'll look flabby and you'll still have muffin top, and you won't be happy with it. I wish I had…
  • Same thing for me. I had 4 binges this week. All so bad I was in pain, and ready to vomit. What sucks is, I know the calorie content of everything, it's ridiculous. And over and over again I played in my head how many calories I consumed, and was like, "That's only like, 1 lb of fat, I'll be alright" and before you know it…
  • If you want to keep hypertension at bay, watch your sodium count. Tuna is a great source of protein, but sometimes. in canned products, processed meats, etc. You're going to get high blood pressure from too much sodium. If you like it a lot, just watch the sodium in other foods. Or add "No salt" which is a salt substitute…
  • In your same boat girlfriend.
  • I used to work with photographers. And they are *kitten*. to say the least. A lot of them live in this bubble, like, "My pictures don't look like I want them to, it's all your fault". Because a lot of them are perfectionist, so they assume if it's not perfect, it's not them, it's you. Which, we all know is bull****. I…
  • That sounds good. Might try that. In that case, should I stop counting calories? Because sometimes I feel like I'm way to consumed with the whole thing. Like, I need to chill with it. I know I've gained about 4 pounds this past week or so. So maybe I'll just use the calorie counter to lose those 4 pounds and then just go…
  • But all my doctors, even the extremely strict doctor at meps who gives you an unnecessary Q&A if you have a perfectly normal birthmark said I was in great shape and perfect health. He even complimented on my physical status and said I'm the ideal candidate for the US army. And apparently, impressing that guy is nearly…
  • If you have a thing with numbers, be obsessive with measurements, not scale numbers. That way, you can still measure success with a number, but not weight.
  • 1200 a day is too little. You don't even want to end up where some people have been from doing that. Do 1400, you'll still lose weight, i promise. Drink more water, and be patient.
