I'm sorry no one saw this post--this topic usually draws a lot of comments. I just searched for threads asking this same question because I'm trying to put together a playlist for lifting to re-motivate myself. So far it's just... Ah, this might answer my question.

I just got my lab work for this back last week. I'm at 19. My Dr. wrote a prescription for D3 50,000 intl units oral capsule, once a week for ten weeks. But I got D3 from the store, 1,000 iu capsules. Now, stupid question. Is 50,000 the total iu for the whole prescription or per capsule? It's got to be the whole rx, right?…

Do you feel poorly after cardio?

Thanks guys!! I underestimate how helpful it is to have a sounding board and especially to hear that there are so many others who just have to wait it out. I went to the store today, and I did a spectacular job if I do say so myself. I think maybe I'll take the Barnes and Noble gift card I got for Christmas and haven't…

I'm not sure where in Jersey. My friend tried to get me to go, but I'm CT and reopening my non-profit next month.

1850 is in between sedentary and lightly active. I'm not going to increase my calories by 400 in one go if I'm not sure I trust this TDEE calculation. I'm going to work on accuracy (and eating tons of nuts (oh dear I'm gonna be so broke)) for now and increase again later if I need to. Activity Level ... Daily Calories…

Maybe it's cuz I danced for 15 years, but Just Dance on the Wii is one of my favorites. Yoga is all about your personal best and your own strength and stretch--if you need to skip some positions or alter them, absolutely do it! I've been watching season 11 of the Biggest Loser, and the trainers are all about boxing. Until…

It's just gonna take me some time to figure out how to eat that many calories.
-
I'm gonna try the fat2fit method. Eat 1850 and not eat back exercise calories unless I have a huge workout. Concentrate on more protein, worry less about fat. Not be so frustrated if I don't make all my calories everyday, but also try to make it up the rest of the week--not freak out if I go over some days. I'll be back in…

Yes, she checked my thyroid, and it was ok.

Dude. It boggles my mind, too.

That's not TDEE, that's suggested intake. "Based on your goal weight, the following chart was generated. The chart shows the number of calories that you should eat on a daily basis to reach your goal weight... The calorie levels you see in the chart are not extreme, but they do create that all important caloric deficit…

Yes, I've read that, and I've used many different calculators. Here's fat2fit's advice for me: Activity Level ... Daily Calories Sedentary (little or no exercise, desk job) ... 1787 Lightly Active (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/wk) ... 2047 Moderately Active (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/wk) ... 2308 Very Active…

Yeah, like I said, I've been frustrated and slacking lately, but a month and a half of doing fairly well ought to at least lose me some water weight, no?
-
I can definitely try to be more accurate, but if I'm eating 800 "surprise" calories more everyday... then I should still be under TDEE. I've had a few days where water's not been what it should be, but overall, I've been a champ about drinking it. I was super regular up until maybe two weeks ago. I went to NYC for a short…

I know my TDEE is higher. Just showing what it would be bare minimum. But if I can't fix the problem of eating enough without it being junk, it doesn't matter much what it honestly is--I just need to figure out how to get anywhere near it (or 20% less than it).
-
So you're saying you lost all your weight by under eating? Having over 100 lbs to lose, I'm sure under eating made you lose weight if it was a change from what you were doing before. You didn't stall after under eating for a while?
-
So action plan at the moment is to eat more towards the front of the day. Try to up to 1850 after maybe a week off from tracking. Track fiber and protein. Indulge in more good fats. Stop buying whatever has the least calories. Try keeping my heart rate a little lower during the majority of my workout with just a couple…

Oh man, thank you all for the responses! Waking up and seeing just one "No suggestion, but good luck" was upsetting. I'll try to answer as many of those questions as I can. Every single calculator that I've tried, including the fancy .gov one, has said my BMR is about 1700, so TDEE about 2000. But that's when I check "desk…

thanks... seems no one has insights?

That's like saying feathers don't weigh more than bricks because a pound of each weighs the same. A pound of anything weighs a pound. I agree, though, that just because muscle PER VOLUME weighs more than fat doesn't mean it's the only explanation for poor results.

Agreed--best for me, too.
