All starchy foods (flours, rice, potatoes of any form or color, carrots, corn, ......), caffeine, alcohol, very sweet fruits (bananas, all melons, mangos, dry sweetened fruits, oranges, .....), all fried foods, all nuts, butter, milk, yogurt, and fatty meats. I know my list is huge and cutting down lots of highly…

I feel guilty when eating "those foods" because I know they are loaded with empty calories, fats, and sugar. It doesn't make sense to me to deprive myself from more nutritious foods in order to save calories for "those foods." I do it anyways....but try not to do it so often.

I can definitely see a big difference! Be careful girl, don't let your subconscious convince you into thinking that all your efforts to lose the weight are hardly. That happened to me at one point in my life....eventhough I'd lost the weight and had reached my weight goal (130 pounds), was able to wear size 2 clothes, and…

Try to look for rewards other than food. For example, after a stressful day at work, I reward myself by getting a manicure or a deep body massage. When food crosses my mind I switch my thoughts to how beautiful my nails are going to look or how great I'm going to feel after my massage. I always try to remember words of…

We have the control over our mind....we just choose to give in and that's what keep us from reaching our goals.

We make it a habit to treat ourselves with candy at nighttime to comfort ourselves for whatever "hardships" we encountered during the day....that's what I think if our hormones are ok and diabetes isn't to be blamed. Hard cold try not giving in to your sweet tooth....break the habit. Go to bed early, fill yourself with…

Hi girl! I'm in the same boat! Last week was my "sweets week." No wonder I felt seek and didn't want to workout that much. I also want to stay away from simple sugars and limit my complex carbohydrates (fruits, vegetables, whole pastas and grains, ....) because I know that that really works if I want to lose weight. Good…

Yes, it kind like feels some people only use you. You are also worthy to some feedback (good or bad) from them too. Don't feel bad if you delete the "friends" who have no interest on giving you encouragement and/or support at all. It's your right to do so. ;)

Talking for myself, it's easy to give into unhealthy living....I've come out with plenty of valid and creative "reasons" for doing so. I've promised to myself to stop blaming circumstances and to stop feeling "sorry" for letting myself become overweight. Now, I hold myself accountable for my life-long healthy change.…
