New beginning, new software

Sigh...here I sit, the stereotypical dieter. Nearly two years ago I decided to get healthy and lose weight. I dropped over 40 lbs, from 230 to just under 190. I started running, and eventually made my goal of running a 5K in under 29 minutes.

Then it all fell apart. I went from a 3rd shift job to a 1st shift job, where there's a lot more that involves food evidently. I also stopped running. All that loss went away in record time, and I'm back up to 227. All the health benefits are gone, and I'm back to feeling like crap all the time.

So, here I am, trying again with a new community and software that is considerably less yellow, and hoping I can get back on track. I still want to see my 6-pack by the time I'm 40.

  • Talking for myself, it's easy to give into unhealthy living....I've come out with plenty of valid and creative "reasons" for doing so. I've promised to myself to stop blaming circumstances and to stop feeling "sorry" for letting myself become overweight. Now, I hold myself accountable for my life-long healthy change. Support and encouragement from my friends in general and from that of the community itself is great and welcome....but I know that only I can put my words into action...YESTERDAY :). Good luck on your journey of becoming and staying a healthier you. Of coarse we can do it....when there is a REAL will there is a way! Yayyyy! Add me if you want...I welcome friends, support, and encouragement.
