I'm sorry that you are struggling, but it's normal. I threw up everyday for the first 6 months! I wish someone had told me before hand that this could be the case, but I made it through and focused on my protein shakes and little else. Do what ever you need to do to get the protein in. I stopped eating for 3 months and my…

I'm really glad to see that you didn't let those silly girls stop you from continuing on your journey! Some people just need to be negative to others and hurtful to make themselves feel better! It's their problem, not yours! You are doing what's best for you. Keep up the great work!

I'm 5'6" and weigh 219. I wear a size 14 in pants and a L or XL in Shirts. In stretch pants it's a L or XL depends on the maker and cut!

My hair was falling out really bad, to the point I was cleaning the drain 2-3 times per shower cause it would get so clogged. I cried...anyhow, I colored my hair and didn't have any problems. I even asked my guy who does it for me if it would be a problem before doing it cause I was freaking out and he assured me it…

When I was at my largest (nearly 400 lbs) I used 3 regular sports bras to hold my girls in. Now they aren't so big so one really good one does the trick, but when mine were DDD one was just not going to do the job no matter how well it was made.

Thank you everyone for such great advice and support. I'm really hoping that eventually I get to be one of those people. I'm going to keep at it, cause I NEVER want to be the person I was a year ago and nearly 400 lbs!

Can't figure out how to post it. =( I've lost 162 lbs.

Definitely an inspiration! I hope someday to be able to participate in one of these, still working my way up to it! Congrats on finishing it and your wonderful weight loss!

I plan to have all of the above and more. By the time I'm done I will have lost over 200 lbs, so that's a lot of loose skin. My plastic surgeon suggested having mine done in 3-4 different sections as it's a lot at one time. He said each will take between 6-8 weeks for healing enough to get back to normal exercise routine…

I personally count all my carbs and try to keep them between 50-60 grams per day. I sometimes go over, but usually I'm below the goal.

I had Gastric Bypass Surgery in July 2012. I'm 9 1/2 months out from surgery and for me it was the best decision of my life. It literally saved my life. I'm not advocating WLS for everyone, because it's not for everyone. I've had my moments of regret and the occassional thought of "What the hell did I do?" However, looking…

My surgeon (bartiatric) told me the skin will never go back compeletly. The fact that I have stretched my skin out beyond it's elasticity. It's like a elastic waistband if you break the fibers that bind it together and keep stretching eventually the waistband won't go back to the shape and tightness it was when you bought…

When I started I had more than 200 lbs to lose. I'm down 91 lbs as of today, but I started out with swimming and walking. It's too cold now to swim, but I still walk 5 miles a day and go to the gym and do elliptical and stationary bike.

I had gastric bypass surgery on July 11 and went back to work 6 days after. Everyone's different and you will just have to see how you feel. I was really tired after work for the first month, but I survived and was glad I went back as quickly as I did.

I got that feeling from friends and family as well and so I just stopped telling people what I've lost. If they ask I tell them, but I don't volunteer the information anymore.

If you have a 24 hour fitness and a Costco in your area, I would check with Costco to see if they have the 2 year Pre-Paid membership to 24 hour fitness. I paid $349.99 for a 2 year Sport Club Membership, which averages out to about $15.00 per month. It may be cheaper in your area if it's available...I'm in Los Angeles, so…

I will totally join you on this challenge. I would like to lose 50 lbs by then...but will shoot for 40 lbs. I just had surgery on July 11th, but it seems like my weight loss is pretty slow even so soon after surgery. Hoping it will pick up soon. Do you want to check in with each other weekly, daily, etc? Feel free to add…

I actually wish I could eat more calories, but since I recently had gastric bypass surgery I can only get in about 300-400 calories per day...no matter how hard I try I just can't get anymore in. Hopefully in the coming weeks it will increase.

I think if the girl backs out, then the ring should be given back. If the guy backs out she should keep the ring. However if the ring is a family heirloom then no matter why the engagement broke up the ring should be given back. Just my thought.

I am one week post-op today. Although I did have buyer's remorse my first couple of days, mostly due to complications of the surgery, nothing to do with RNY, it was previous surgeries....I am overall happy that I did it and I can only imagine as I get further out and the annoying gas pains go away I will be much more happy.

Thank you everyone! I'm excited, but still so nervous. I even woke up this morning and started crying. Not sure what's going on there! lol I'm okay now, got up, showered and now just waiting for my friend to arrive to take me to the hospital. I'm ready start this new phase of my life and live a healthier and happier life.…
