Well, I am glad this was bumped back into circulation. What an inspiration and such a well written, captivating, and motivating story. Could relate on so many levels, as many of us can. Thank you for taking the time to bring your story to life for all of us to follow and learn. I'm in awe.

This sounds yummy and packed with protein. I've taken notes on here today.

Okay, my first challenge here. I'm excited and curious how I will do. I would love to know how long some are holding their planks for too... I think that would be interesting to see. Anyone else?

Alright. This sounds like a good challenge to add to my fitness plate. I'm in!! Now to go find the group... that might be more of a challenge for me. lol

We all have ups and downs. I just mark it off as part of the learning curve to living healthier. You can find lots of motivation and inspiration on here!! I'm always looking for more friends to share this journey. I sent you a friend request.

I understand cardio isn't for everyone. But HIIT training can be completed in a variety of forms including cardio. You can perform on an elliptical, a treadmill or outside if you wish. One example would be begin with a 30 second brisk walk or jog (whichever you are most comfortable with) followed by a 30 second full out…

Just ears here: 8 on one side 3 on the other.Had the cartilidge done when I was young in college and I always wanted earrings all the way around my ear. So for my 36th birthday I filled in the ear while my kids watched. :) Would love to have my belly button pierced but the after kids stretch marks kinda killed that one.

^^This. I completed Insanity and did it for the challenge. It was by no means a shortcut for me as I didn't lose any weight. I did however gain some much needed self-esteem and motivation to venture more into heavy lifting and strength training. I think, like any program, you get what you put into it.

I wake at 4:30 Mon-Fri in order to be able to workout, tend to the kids for school, and get to work on time. My son recently began his double sessions for football (highschool) and I have to have him there at 6:50 two days a week. It kills my morning routine so I have been working out in the evening. It is SUCH a struggle…

You should've walked around twirling your panties around your finger and when people commented, you could tell them that you've gotten too skinny for your big girl panties. Mhmmmm, mhmmmm. [/quote] ^^I agree! Too funny. Congratulations!! What a hilarious and memorable NSV!

Like Taylor said above. Its just another vehicle. I use my protein powder when I'm lacking in that area but it's not something I use every day.

I mix it in a bowl with Oil and Vinegar (Newmans is my favorite) and add whatever I may have on hand. Generally, diced avocado, shredded Parmesan, purple onion, celery, peppers, etc. If I have lettuce on hand I may wrap in Romaine leaves.

40, forever working on fit, and funny... is there really any other way to be? Sending FR now.

I was there and then I did Insanity. I literally thought I was going to die doing all the variation of pushups. In the beginning I struggled to do one and refused to do the on your knees pushups. I kept pushing play and following along doing as many as I could. Some days were better than others. Now, I can do 30 standard…

Great thread... Was a daily runner for years and never added weights into the equation. After finishing Insanity, I decided I wanted to do more weight/strength training. I lift three days a week following P90x as well as Stronglifts. I have not completely given up on cardio - two days a week I switch between mountain…

Favorite recipe of my kids. I throw frozen chicken breasts in a crockpot with our favorite salsa for the day while I'm at work. Sometimes I will add black beans for more protein and have been known to add corn or any other veggies I may have on hand. Great for topping salad, making tacos, or add with brown rice in a…

Yup! My FB friends do not have the same healthy/fitness related interests as me; and, further, the only thing I seem to learn on their is how boring some of their lives really are. It was nice to reconnect with old friends in the beginning but FB is no longer a place for me. I come here ALL the time to learn and join with…

I use my HRM but I know my daughter was going to the P90x website (I think someone posted the link already) and would calculate the calorie burn there. Then she would enter it as a new exercise for herself. Hope that helps! I began P90x last week. Feel free to add me. :)

Yup. Common goals on here... with hopefully more positive results than you see from FB. :)

Though I didn't get the results I was hoping for - no weight loss - I did lose 9.5 inches. I didn't follow the nutrition plan and played around with my macros and calorie intake. I couldn't get myself to eat the 2400 the nutrition plan told me to eat. I definitely gained muscle, more definition, strength and endurance. I…

You might want to check Amazon or Craigslist. You can find them cheap there sometimes. I've found that most people will keep the program as they will continue to go back to it for another round or use in a Hybrid with another program...

I am finding it feels like its running slow however the time passes by quickly. I get annoyed with all the talking Tony does. I also, being a newbie, have been frustrated with his lack of instruction during each exercise. However, I'm sure after a couple of weeks when I get the routine I will be very glad he doesn't... It…

Awesome!! Finished it myself a few weeks ago and entered the program thinking the same thing. I didn't lose the weight but lost 9.5 inches and definitely gained more definition, muscle and endurance. I notice it in my runs and mountain biking rides. I'm following P90x now and miss the Insanity craziness. Lol!

I haven't followed the nutrition plan and this has me thinking I should give it a try. I have my macros set from Insanity but living on a budget with three kids (single mom) getting enough protein has always been a problem. I have my macros manually set to 40/30/30 (c/p/f)... I guess I am going to have to look more into…

That is great! Plateaus suck. So glad to see you overcame it. Congrats!!

A heart rate monitor eliminates the guessing.

Just started P90x Classic Wednesday after finishing a round of Insanity. :)
-
I began the program on Wednesday having recently finished Insanity I debated waiting until after the summer but why wait until tomorrow what you can do today? Right?!? I would love to have some more P90x pals!! I'm still in the 'learning' phase trying to figure out weight size and following his methods but I am liking the…
