Jpapp, when do you take these meds? I have to be careful with decongestants because they will keep me up at night. If I can get on a preventative regimen, I think this would help a lot.

I have used Excedrin migraine and it can be hit or miss. I definitely need to take it with food or I get stomach upset.

Great info! Thanks!

Saving to read later. Good info!

I used leftover chicken for stir-fry (chunks, not shredded), tacos and jambalaya. When I'm lazy, I use Zatarain's jambalaya mix, add chicken and sausage or you can make from scratch.

I've had bunion surgery on both feet (at different times), so I understand where you're coming from. The first surgery was on my right foot and my x-ray showed that the pins had rotated thus needing a second surgery. That set me back another 2 weeks from the original 8 and I was put on crutches. Please follow the doctor's…

I like these too! Good protein for not a lot of calories!

Hi, I am sending you a friend request. I'm 51 and the additional support is helpful.

Absolutely! It took me several weeks to see a loss when I started on here. I had already been exercising consistently, but not tracking my intake, so I learned that I was eating too much. You are most likely retaining water and that happens when you undertake a new exercise program. In the meantime, track your food intake…

Everything the above posters said. Also watch out for calorie-laden salads like potato salad and macaroni salad. Cut back on portions of those. If there's fruit, eat that and have a burger or chicken. Stick to iced tea and plenty of water as you'll want to stay hydrated. Have fun!

Hi, I am 51 and in perimenopause and I'm also hypothyroid. I had put on 10 lbs. the last two years and my clothes were getting too tight, so that was my signal to do something about it. I have been carefully tracking my calories on MFP and keeping tabs on my calories burned using my Fitbit and I have lost 5 pounds in the…

I just made a protein shake using vanilla protein powder, banana, almond milk and coconut oil. It adds a nice flavor and I would think it would taste good with chocolate. I will have to try cooking with it.

Biceps!

Happy childhood.

I really like my Fitbit Flex. I feel like it provides good info regarding calorie burns and it motivates me to move more. I just recently got the Aria scale that syncs with it and MFP.

Moving more.

Hi, I'm 5" 2.5" and my goal is 120. I will most likely go down a little further in order to have a cushion. I would not be able to sustain 110 and I would look too thin since I have a medium frame.

Moving Comfort Maia and Juno. The Maia goes on like a regular bra, but the Juno goes over your head. Both are very supportive (34-DD).

Hi, I'm 51 and have been back for about a month now and have lost a few pounds. It works if you stick with it! Please feel free to add me and anyone else who's interested.

Hi Stephanie, I'm Julie and I'm 51. I came back to MFP to lose 10 pounds that have been nagging me. I am sending you a friend request and anyone else is welcome to also.

I have a Toddy cold brew system and it makes concentrated coffee. I take the concentrated coffee, add a little water, some almond milk and Torani sugar free hazelnut syrup and it's delicious and way less calories than S'bucks.

Great topic!

I just got my Fitbit Aria and so far, I really like it.

I couldn't eat just 1200 calories either. I chose the lightly active setting because I am on my feet, but not all the time. I also work out 6 days per week. MFP starts me at 1360 calories and adds exercise. I track my activity in the Fitbit app and let it sync with MFP. I try to achieve a 250 cal. deficit every day for a…

Will have to try! Thanks!

I just had the Vanilla Almond Crunch and I like this flavor a lot. I also have had Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Chocolate Peanut Butter and liked them also. Very filling and help me keep cravings in check.

Hi everyone, I'm 51 and back here again to lose 10 lbs. and keep them off. I did it 2 yrs. ago, so I can do it again. It just takes more time! Please add me if you'd like.

Will try this!
