  • Tried this with apple pie filling, it was amazing! Little individual apple pies. So good thanks for the idea 💕
  • Followed your recipe tonight and they turned out great!!! I added a touch of lemon extract. I was able to make 35 cookies at about 25 calories a piece! They are small but wonderful little cookies. Thanks again
  • Make quinoa brownies today! They turned out a little wet will probably cook the quinoa with less water next time. Steps were pretty straightforward. Cook 1/2 c quinoa, use the food processor to turn the cooked quinoa into a paste, add 100 grams roasted acorn squash (had some leftover), 1/2 cocoa powder, 1/4 c light maple…
  • I've found that one or two vegetarian dinners a week has cut down on cost and calories while still being filling. Bag of veggies and/or cauliflower rice- $1-2 Tofu - $2 Can of chickpeas - <$1 Interesting sauce - $1-2 Makes 6+ servings for ~$7, less if you make instead of buying the sause. And it is a fast dinner to get on…
  • If you are looking to start prepping dinners below are two really easy ones that can go from freezer to crockpot and cook for the full work day on low 8-10 hours. Slow Cooker - Pineapple Curry https://thefamilyfreezer.com/2015/10/21/freezer-to-slow-cooker-thai-pineapple-curry/ Ingredients 15oz can of chickpeas, drained and…
  • If anyone is looking for something new, I love this recipe. It is great on its own or as a salad topper. Curry Chickpea Salad https://simple-veganista.com/curried-chickpea-salad/#tasty-recipes-8554 Ingredients 3 cups cooked or 2 cans (15 oz.) chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed 2 – 3 carrots (about 1 cup), diced…
  • Haha good point. However it ends up being ~6 weeks of the year at my house... 😅 Plus ometimes it takes me a week or two to wean myself off routinely having dessert. I'm still on the lookout for low calorie desserts
  • Thanks for the bitterkoekjes recipe and variations! It got me thinking... My go-to dessert recipe over the summer was cheesecake bars. High protein, very satisfying. And friends / family didn't know they were diet until my husband in his excitement burst out the nutrition facts! 😂 I think I might try a variation with mint…

  • Broccoli Avocado Salad has been a hit at a few Thanksgiving/Christmas parties and it is super easy with a food processor * 1 pound broccoli * ½ pound carrots * 1 pound red grapes, quartered (I sub raisins when I don't feel like quartering grapes) * ½ cup pumpkin seeds, toasted (I subbed sunflower seeds) * Dressing: * 2…
  • I had this issue... waited just over a week and it was fixed. I think mine had something to do with the different devices i was using. I use fitbit flex and 2 different smartphones. Now the one smartphone lags behind the others by about a day if I make any changes. My suggestion is just prepare for some mental math. good…
  • update: it is slow going. I think the fallout from last weeks incident is over and I'm back to normal. Keeping the detailed journal is a little harder than I expected but I'm hoping it is worth it in the end.

  • It is actually more complicated than that... It depends on where you live and who your GS get their cookies from. If you get them from ABC company then they have been vegan for a while. If you get cookies from the Little Brownie Bakers the recipe is new this year. This is very upsetting because I don't like the ABC company…
  • How about muffins? I brought in muffins (substituted apple sauce for oil). Everyone called them cupcakes, but they are all ESL so that might be why. Anyway everyone ate them and you really couldn't tell. They even had chocolate chips. or make/buy mini cupcakes and hold yourself off at one (a daunting task but possible)…
  • Thank you all for your suggestions. I don't normally eat a lot of salads but I got a garden salad with chicken and it was very good! Thank you all for the encouragement to try new things. They do have a grilled chicken wrap that I might try next time. I think it was more anxiety than anything else so thank you for the…
