Bump for future enjoyment.

I would drop the bacon, too many triglycerides, or go to turkey bacon or something, ton of cholesterol in the eggs and cheese ( or lose the yolks) The greek yogurt is awesome... good protein, but get the 0 fat. Will need fruit though cause it's kinda gross totally plain. If you aren't making it a point to eat clean, I like…

I have been following this general rule myself. I try to eat a fair amount of protein through the day, I eat high carbs ( mostly fruit and vegetables, no white processed flours or sugars ), and I eat very low fat. it has worked well for me. The reverse seems to be true, and that's why the Atkins diet works, I lost a quite…

I gave up flavored coffees... already gave up most other things bad for me.

Bump to try later.

There's a lot of us.... 50 here been at it since mid-Feb last year, and feeling tons better.

I have about 8-10 lb to go, and it has really slowed down for me could be spring/summer before I get there. But very close, I started at 280 about mid-Feb. last year, down to 188 this morning.

I look taller.... but I'm really just less round.

Bump to try later.

I am running at about 94lb lost so far, 6 more to go. I had lost 97 but have gained a few back working back down to my target of 179. Started my journey on Feb 15, 2012.

I take the weight loss seriously, and exercize to improve my health. Really the pics are just secondary to the purpose of why the site exists, and why most of us are here. But they do add a little bit of insight to who the individuals behind the profiles are... some of the pic choices are really very interesting, and make…

It doesn't sound like a terrible idea... that is my plan as well. The only thing I would say is that I rarely allow myself to cheat while I am trying to lose, and if I go over I make up for it the next day. When I hit my target, I will set my calories to 1/2 lb a week and be less strict on the overages and not worry about…

Good for you standing up to boorish behavior. You have a lot to be proud of in your weight loss and your stamina and endurance. I would love to be able to run for two hours, that is awesome performance. I congratulate you on your progress, keep it up! When you reach your final goal, and are the new person you want to be,…

Congratulations! It has to feel wonderful. I have a little ways to go yet but look forward to being able to feel that too. You have a lot to be proud of in this accomplishment, as do so many taking the first steps and for the progress they have made towards their goals. It is inspiring to have you share your success.

I have tried a ton of things over the years. This site has made all the difference in the world. I kicked off my journey in January using a diet we aren't allowed to discuss here, but then switched to a high protein diet, and began logging. Some people tell me I'm a little OCD about it, with my app on the Blackberry and my…

Congratulations on your progress. Keep up the good work! You will make it if you want it and work for it. I was in the same boat, I am in the middle of the overweight range now, and even though there are those that don't think the normal BMI range is right for me, I am committed to getting there or as close as I can. Keep…

WHOOP! Way to go! I still have a few to go before I reach my "normal" bmi range. And seeing others get there is a big motivator. Congrats

Bump, I gotta try that

I am an assistant scout leader. I signed up for a high adventure training course through scouting and in going through the forms and information realized that at my weight, (257) I wouldn't be allowed to ride the horses for insurance reasons. OMG so I'm too fat for a horse to carry me??! I've seen the hourses at our camp,…
