Damn! :D Oh well - thought it was too good to be true.....just as well I asked. Thanks folks. :)

The reason I ask is that current theory ( From Malhotra, Noakes et al) seems to indicate that the low-fat public-health advice that's been given for a couple of decades is probably fueling the obesity crisis, and the dietary advice has often come from 'interested parties'. I tried full-on keto but couldn't do it. Felt…

British. The bean tin lists: Carbohydrate= 25.9g ....of which Sugars =6.7g. On a separate line; Fibre = 8.1g and then a load of things like protein, fat etc (which I'm not particularly bothered about as I'm mostly interested in keeping the carbs down). So it depends whether or not you are T2D if you can deduct the fibre…

Lucky old you!

Also a fan of Pilates - feel great afterwards and it helps straighten out the knots that other exercises put in place. I'm frustrated that I can't log a Pilates workout on MFP, though - it just doesn't seem to recognise it!

I take quite a few things; vit D, magnesium, zinc, cod liver oil, (and in winter extra vit c) and just take them during breakfast. I'm getting old so I also take soya isoflavones and black cohosh against the hot flushes. I worry a bit about my stomach lining - probably needlessly - but try and take the black cohosh and…

I've been slogging away even though I haven't checked in for a couple of weeks - life got in the way! I've completed day 4 of level 3 (that is to say, I started about a week ago but need to take rest days on this level - oh! my poor knees - those rock-star jumps and jumping-lunges are the work of the Devil) Only a third of…

It's just as bad as it sounds. I don't exactly ache but feel as though I'm wading through treacle. Perhaps you start tomorrow? Looking forward to hearing what you think of it! I wish i could say I've lost weight, inches, ANYTHING! maybe it's still too early in the programme. Just off to do day 3 now!

I've been using a pair of wrist weights without actually strapping them on. Today i weighed them and they are 1125g each; not sure what that is in lbs - probably about 2.5lb. Don't want to use anything heavier because my neck and shoulders feel a bit fragile sometimes and I don't want to risk injury.

Nice if you can do it and a few months ago I was regularly up with the lark power-walking. Now I've moved on to jogging and I find I can't do it that early; blood sugar level must be too low or something - I just haven't the energy. Pity, because it's good to get the slog (and the shower) out of the way early if possible.

Glad to see others are taking the odd rest day; i know it's recommended to do alternate days but I'm impatient! Yesterday though, it just wasn't going to happen for various reasons, mainly, having to eat at the only convenient exercise time. Do you just count the missed days or take up where you left off? Haven't measured…

I suddenly felt guilty calling it 30 mins of circuit so I'm now calling it 20 mins; brutal honesty from now on!

I did it for the first time yesterday with youtube. One or two points. I'm quite old (54) so worry a bit about damaging tendons; I'm already a bit stiff and achey around the neck and shoulders and don't want to make it worse, so am not too bothered if the weights I'm using aren't heavy enough. (mine are about 2.5lbs each)…

I haven't followed a programme but a few weeks in to doing brisk walks and then seeing if I could run 100 yards without dying, i heard of someone else doing a couch-5K programme and realised this is what I had been doing instinctively. The prog I heard of was Couch to 5K in 8 weeks, or something like that. Well, I've taken…

Weigh days: 8/2 = 156lbs 8/9 = 154.5lbs 8/16 = 154lbs (but that was before going to the loo - will say no more than that!) Not exactly stunning progress but roughly on target. Still having one fast day a week-well, more 'skipping lunch' than fasting, but it does kick-start things a bit. Onwards and upwards (or should that…

Couple of pounds had crept back on but i did an intermittent fast (or thought I did - what I fondly imagined was a 600 cal day came out at over 1000! but I tend to over-estimate things so perhaps not all that bad) and they fell off overnight. Less thrilled with the fact that my waist and hips are not going down AT ALL! And…

I'd like to do this; i've lost about 10lbs in the last 6 weeks but have stalled a bit - this could be the incentive I need to get back on track. :) SW: 164 CW: 156 GW: 152 8/2: 156 8/8: 8/15 8/22 8/29 I'd just love to be able to look down and see my knees without craning my neck! Good luck to everyone.

The diet I'm following lists tea and coffee as being unrestricted, providing you use milk from your daily allowance (300ml semi-skimmed). I find I drink about 8 cups tea and 1 cup coffee on average in a day. I was wondering whether this counts as part of water intake, too. Haven't really been counting water, although I try…
