There is a really excellent cookbook out there called "Fresh Mexican." The recipes are much more authentic than what you would find in an Americanized restaurant, and it's sooooo good. Also, corn tortillas (not the crispy fried ones, of course) are much lower in calories than flour and are whole grain!

I feel your pain, girl. I'm about the same size as you- 5'3'' and 115 pounds. I have a 26 inch waist and 22 1/2 inch legs. Nonfat greek yogurt mixed with salsa is a good, very low calorie dip option... you could eat a whole cup of it for 100 calories. And it's yummy and full of protein and calcium!

Ranch dressing, Doritos, sour cream and onion anything, and savory chex mix. Even being near them makes me nauseous. Also oatmeal creme pies and twinkies gross me out.

We have almost the exact same measurements! I'm 5"3' and weigh about 115 right now, but was at 120 when I started. I'm trying to get down to 100 to 105. Any of y'all can add me if you'd like:)

There are a ton of really good groups here on mfp for compulsive and emotional eaters. I'm a member of 'emotional eating' and 'binge eating support group' and they both are really helpful and full of supportive people!

I like group classes. That way all you have to do is get yourself to the class. Once you're there you have to work out.

1500 calories a day seems like a completely reasonable amount to me. You could even eat a couple hundred less and still be perfectly healthy and safe, though I don't think that's necessary by any means. I never eat back my exercise calories. I'm almost exactly the same as you. 5'3'' and have gotten up to about 118 pounds recently. Right now I'm just working on getting back to 110 ish, which is normal for me, but I would like to eventually get down to 100 or 105. Feel free to add me:)

I'm not officially an intermittent faster, but I usually eat between about noon or one oclock and 8 or nine pm. You should join the group! It's hard to talk about fasting on the main boards without a ton of people jumping down your throat about breakfast and metabolism and starvation mode:tongue:

My binges are always worse when I'm alone, but I can overeat around others as long as I'm not the only one doing it.
