Your muscles are holding on to water to repair them selves. The weight loss life is not to the faint. If you are weighing yourself everyday, stop. There will be days you gain and then lose the gain plus some in 3 or 4 days. Make sure you have before pictures, and measurements. The scale is not the only piece to this…

Welcome: And you are correct. Stop the tears, its hard and believe me most people in community can agree, I have been there ...once, twice, three times. I lost the weight and found myself right back at my highest almost to the exact amount. I want to cry also... but tears aren't going to help you on your road to getting…

I get to the gym between 5:30-5:45 am( waking up at 5:15-5:30). I dont like the feeling of the food swishing around in my tummy. So I do it fasted, no food. On Saturday I get to the gym at about 830-900am, I make sure that I eat something much earlier like 730 or so. and its usually a slice of toast with PB, banana or 1/2…

MFP is set up to calculate your caloric intake without exercise. So you are lucky there. If you are looking to lose 2 lbs a week ( originally stated)MFP may take your allotted intake to 1200 calories, that's to low. Don't fall for it, its to extreme and you are setting your self up for failure. You want a calorie goal of…

Sending Invite Stay Positive Kaitlyn. Get used to logging your foods honestly ( weigh them if need be), drink lots of water, do this for you, but find your motivation and remember it when you feel like giving up

Welcome Brandon, and congrats for taking steps to getting healthy! Stick to your calories, track your food, be honest about what you are tracking, drink water, and get and stay active. And I believe your goal is totally obtainable. Feel free to friend me.

Hi and welcome. I'm not Indian and I'm not in Australia MFP is set up so you actually don't need to work out out to lose the weight. That's what the calorie deficit is all about. Normally for me to maintain my current weight I could eat 2,250 calories a day and not gain anything. I choose the sedentary ( have a desk job )…

Hi and welcome. I'm Currently 234 lbs, I have lost this weight before but life happens and I let creep back on after several attempts to stop it. I just don't handle stress well, I eat stress . Literally hahahaaha MFP is set up so you actually don't need to work out out to lose the weight. That's what the calorie deficit…

For myself, I feel like just starting out and adjusting to eating less. The 1lb a week is the way to go. Focus on tracking all of your food. Eating less will get you a loss to start with anyway. Adjusting is hard, so taking is all that to 2lbs maybe be a bit aggressive.

I have several serial quitters in my life, and I'll tell you the same I have mentioned to them. If you are starting something super strict & extreme that leaves you starving of course you will fail. You have to set your self up for success. - Set up 2 week goals: Pick 2 things to focus on omitting those 2 unhealthy items…

Congrats on quitting smoking!! That's a fete in its self . I'm going to echo anyone on here and advise that you up you calories. If you have your MFP calculating anything more than 1lb a week. Change it. You shouldn't feel hungry, this isn't torture. You shouldn't feel like you are being punished. You want this to feel…

Yes, I too have been cutting my processed sugar and foods down. Lowering my carbs, not super low but lower for myself. Getting sugar from natural sources, like fruit. This isn't my first time down this road. I am what you call a restricter by necessity ( meaning I can not practice moderation) it just doesn't work for me. I…

I agree, I have even been making my own granola lately.

Obviously you are not alone. It is a major problem for me. I just try to really acknowledge when I am eating because of boredom. Also I try to eat at specific time frames(if hungry) . And drinking water in between meals to keep me full. Also usually if my hands & mind are busy I seem to not think about food. Breakfast -…

Ditto to what the above person says. There is nothing wrong with walking. Is easier on your joints and will give you time to build up to more strenuous cardio. But I would see a doctor about that chest pain and dizziness

Welcome!

Asian Food.. It's weird for me because it's not something I'm ever interested in. Yesterday I went to Wegmans to make a salad and there were some dumplings on the hot bar and I had a really really hard time walking by.

How long ago did you stop? Maybe it's still in your system? But still please make an appointment to see your doctor, just in case
