Hello all my name is Jeanne. Today is my first time visiting the community. I am 52 years old and I'm at the heaviest weight ever during my adult life! Really need to quit crying and complaining and start working towards my goal! Nice to meet everyone!!

    Welcome:

And you are correct. Stop the tears, its hard and believe me most people in community can agree, I have been there ...once, twice, three times. I lost the weight and found myself right back at my highest almost to the exact amount. I want to cry also... but tears aren't going to help you on your road to getting healthy.

Best thing you can do is start setting a plan into motion. Set your goals, take it one step at a time. Break your over all goal up into 10lbs, so that you are only faced with 10lbs at a time. Sometimes taking it all on at once can be overwhelming. So find 2 things that you think if you stopped would help you get towards your goal Ex( no soda and no fast food) . And then pick 2 things that you think if you did, would also help you get towards your goal EX ( logging food and drinking more water) . Take these items and focus on them for the next 2-3 weeks. Really try not to implement many more items ( whatever you choose) until you really feel that you have a hang of it. Then find some more to add to your program.

Find some friends on here, to help keep you motivated

Write your goals and you plan. Keep them visible if necessary in many places.

Be sure to take measurements, take photos because the scale doesn't always tell the complete story of your journey. Some weigh in days the scale wont move even though you have done every thing correctly. If you don't have a measuring tape, try to gauge with a pants you cant pulled past your butt.
