  • Is anyone still here?
  • I have a Zojirushi rice cooker, had it a few years now. We use it every single day. We have cooked everything from oatmeal, a sort of quiche, hard boiled (steamed) eggs, potatoes, obviously rice, to chicken curry in it. Well worth the money.
  • I have some friends I made when I first started on MFP, but it has been hard to find new ones.
  • If you have never used them try them then say they don't work the core. My abs prove they do. You are carrying about 7lb on each foot, so a child could tell you you use more energy over the same distance...no magic just science. Had mine for about 4 years love them.
  • Just finished a blanket for our grandbaby who is due in October. This is a photo of it when it was in progress.
  • Good evening, all. Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself. 52 Brit living in Georgia. Been on MFP for about 5 years now. Lost lots of inches (108") and a lot of weight a few years back. Life happens, as it does, two house moves, husband job move, and you know what happens, you come last. Well, I am spending more time…
  • When I first started with MFP, I had a major knee injury, and couldn't walk anything more than a few steps a day. Each day I added a couple more steps, then started using Wii Walk It Out. I then started to use Wii running, even though I was never a runner before. Then after I bought a pair on Kangoo Jumps (they reduce the…
  • I have a long way to go to get to my goal. Feel free to add me.
  • Hi there Dove. I used to live in Aspull before moving to the US. Wishing you all the very best on your journey to a healthier you.
  • I am from Liverpool, transplanted in the United States.
  • I started June in a LOT of pain, unable to move my left arm due to a rotator cuff tear, frozen shoulder, and very little sleep (2-4 hours a night). I have lost 15lb since the 2nd of June. I still have a long way to go. July goals: Continue to log everything I eat. I drink 2 litres of water a day (I keep a 2 litre bottle in…
  • From England, but now live in the Atlanta Metro area.
  • Welcome to MFP. Don't try to change everything at once. Make a list of things you need/want to achieve. Be realistic, put everything down. If you have problems motivating yourself to get up, shower and brush your teeth, put that on the list. Even being able to tie your shoelaces. These are what we call NSVs Non-scale…
  • Congratulations! I know what an achievement it is. Well done!! I was never a runner, until a couple of years ago. I injured my knee, and had to start walking again. I went from walking to running on my Kangoo Jumps, and now run around 3-6 miles a day. A friend introduced me to Zombies, Run! app, which I find really…
  • Yes, they are worth the price. I have had mine for over 2 years now, and I couldn't be without them. I broke my ankle many hundreds of years ago, when I was 16, and a few years back I injured my knee (osteochondral defect). I was never a runner before, but after rehabilitation to get me walking again, I saw a girl wearing…
  • I had some idiots yell at me "you're fat". My response was, "I 'm fat..... you are ugly. I can diet".
  • Thanks to my friend, Waterbunnie, I found out about it. I have just finished Season 1. I play it whilst running on my Kangoo Jumps. It really does motivate you to keep going, and to want to do another mission. I would recommend it to anyone wanting something different when they walk or run. Also using Zombielink, allows…
  • Try Elomi bras, they are fabulous, and a well fitted bra will make you look at least 10lb lighter. I wear a 36G, and I got my Elomi bras at Nordstrom. It fits perfectly, and the support is incredible. The support should come from the rib band, not the straps.
  • A MFP friend suggested this to me. I downloaded it from Google Play for $3.99, and I completed the first mission this morning. I put on my Kangoo Jumps (as I have problems with my knee), grabbed my water bottle, and I was off. I usually just run to music, but this does make it more fun. You are waiting for the next item…
  • According to a doctor friend, the chemicals are dealt with by the liver, flushed out by the kidneys, or reabsorbed in other body fat. The best way to "detox" is to try avoid the toxins in the first place, and that is not easy to do.
  • Swimming is good on the joints, as there is no weight on your joints. I have a osteochondral defect ( cartilage damage and injury of the adjacent subchondral bone), and couldn't walk three years ago. With a combination of swimming, Wii Walk it Out, I managed to walk again. I then went on to a pair of Kangoo Jumps, and…
  • My dog, with one of the kittens. She likes to wrap herself around you like a stole, which suits her, as her name is Mink.

  • I am a transplanted Brit, living in Florida. Hoping to move back to the UK. I have been with MFP since 31st March, 2012, and have lost 107" and 52lb. Still quite a way to go, but still going after 306 days.
  • I started here on March 31st, 2012 at 238.8lb. I am 5'2" tall, 48 years old, and have lost 49lb and 100.5". You really CAN do this. A few things I have learnt on my journey so far: 1. measure yourself as soon as you can, and keep track of it. If I had not done so, I would have lost my mind, because I was not seeing weight…
  • Lost 13" off mine. Thankfully. Hoping I can lose another 8".
  • You are quite right "choices, choices, choices". It has taken time, but I have started to "listen" to my body, and eat when I need to, not when I want to. All the best on your journey.
  • Thank you, friend. Keep up your fabulous work!
  • Thank you so much.
  • I think you are exactly right. Things can be so toxic, you have to let it go, and them go. I think this applies not to ourselves, but to others we have in our lives.
  • I am under 5' 4" (only 5' 2") I started MFP 238.8lb on 31st March. I have lost a little over 44lb and 98 inches. I still have a LONG way to go.
