  • I use a sweet potato. I know it may sound silly but it actually is really delicious with a variety of different toppings. I cook a pasta meal for my family, but will take a cup of the sauce, meat, veggies, whatever it is, and eat it over the potato. Still a carb, but much better for you than the noodles.
  • Hey- I started doing Zumba this week and fell in love with it. When I googled the calories burned it stated for an average 150 pound woman you burn anywhere from 500-800 an hour. I must say I am impressed!! They say that you actually burn more than running for an hour. For tracking purposes I added it under exercise and…

  • Yes! You are doing a wonderful job-- but taking it too far. On days you exercise especially do NOT feel guilty if you bnust the 1200 mark. When I first started losing weight I used to focus so hard ont he 1200 mark, even days I did not exercise. Then I did some reading and discovered I was actually supposed to eat those…
  • I work out twice a day two to three times a week. I run 5 miles in the morning 4 times a week, and walk 5 two other mornings. At my kids soccer practice I lead a group fitness program for the other soccer moms which range from strength training and more cardio in the evenings. I find that this site is wonderful as it still…
  • I do not handle cravings very well, so if I have them I eat it until they are satisfied. I am a chocoholic and have found that my every day morning breakfast of slim fast rich chocolate brownie usually keeps me satisfied. When I get the monthly craving increase I bake cookies with my kids and do not worry about the…

  • I eat tons of 100 calorie packs and NO fruits........I know, I suck. The closest I get to fruit is a nutri grain bar which I think I ate one of in the last month.......So, for this week I will add in yogurt and fresh fruit along with my veggies (which I usually get a bunch of) Good Luck!! Melissa

  • I cheat one day every week. I LOVE IT!! And I totally Bust my calorie intake for the day. (By about twice) BUT, it has not effected my weight loss at all. It is my reward for doing a great job all week. (I do however work out an extra 20 minutes the next day)
  • I go out a lot more than I wish I did with friends for lunch also. I use Calorie King to check out the nutritional info before arriving to the restaurant of choice and try to find something. If it is a surprise, and I arrive without a plan, I try to make a good decision, but I always only eat half (order something that you…
  • Hey! Would you mind posting your recipe? That sounds yummy!! Melissa
  • Lets see, I try to eat all 1200, but usually come up a little short (like 50-100) Once again, I try, but 6-7 meals a day usually fill me up, so I come up short on work out days too I exercise about 3-4 times a week for an hour (cardio) I log EVERYTHING-- even on my cheat days-- its cool to check out my "out"nights and what…
  • I have never tried these-- are they yummy?

  • I just had a GREAT dinner with ground turkey. Spaghetti!!! If you like spaghetti, its real easy-- I just browned it, added mushrooms and my favorite sauce and voila! I served mine over whole wheat noodles. Also, if you are wanting to cut calories even more, substitute the sauce for a can of stewed tomatoes. It is so…
