Hello all-
I am happy to say YOU guys and this wonderful website have helped me lose 31 pounds!!!! I look and feel like a new person

My original goals were: Lose 37 pounds before my husband comes home from his deployment
Train for and participate in my first ever half Marathon!! Woo Hoo!!!

Well, the marathon is 4 weeks away, and I am currently up to a ten mile run!!!! Who'd a thunk a couch potatoe like me would ever make it that far!! LOL!!!

So, here is my question...how do I maintain my weight? What is the secret recipe in calorie counting (Can I actually indulge in more or do I stay where I am now?)/BMR watching/ enjoy my food but maintain my new weight lifestyle? I know many of you have been there before, so pretty please enlighten me! LOL!

Have a great day everyone! And once again, thankyou ALL for your support and motivation!!!!

Melissa

I think once you reach your goal you change your goal settings and follow the calorie count from there?

That is a good question because once I get there I too will have that same question I think.

I think if you stay active and stay at a resonable count you should be good.

what I don't get is why the count is 2000 on every package of food you see. that just seems way too high. I guess that is for the extremly active person?

You will definitely want to reset your goals to maintenance calories....Great job BTW! I asked some questions of some current maintainers and got some great answers. Below is a link to the thread.

Congratulations! I am so happy for you, your husband will be so proud!

This site will help you recalculate your maintenance caloric intake...yes you will always have to watch it to maintain...its worth the effort, look at how beautiful you look!

My Mother weighs herself every three days or so and drops down to weight loss intake every time she goes 2 lbs over goal/maintenance weight...she says to never let yourself gain more than 3 lbs...I'm going to take her advice when I reach goal!

Enjoy your husband and thank you for staying strong so he can keep us safe here at home!
