I suppose this depends on if they can do it laproscoically, or if they need to make a big incision. Generally speaking, of course..... Lapro=1-2 weeks; Big cut=6 weeks

When I was in 2nd grade, Sister Dorothy told us that "gay" meant "happy," so I wrote a poem......Jay and Ray lay in the hay and were gay....I don't think she ever recovered.

I'm in. This is a great way to start the month. Bingeing is my downfall. I'll be doing so well, and then I completely fall off the wagon.
-
All three.....not on the same night, though.:drinker:

So sorry to hear you're in pain. It always helped me to think of how smokin' hot I would be the next time I saw him, how guys would be swarming to me, and how he'd regret it forever. (Hint: most men try to come crawling back at some time. By that time hopefully you'll be stronger physically, stronger mentally and…

For lunch I had grease with a side of grease. It tasted really good at the time, but my stomach has been rumbling all day, and I almost threw up tonight. It was fantastic at the time, though. I'm not going to beat myself up because I burned well over a thousand calories today, and I'll never eat all of them back. Oh, well.…

I use MapMyWalk and MapMyRide. They're free, they use GPS to calculate distance and speed, and when you're done they give estimated calories burned.

ABSOLUTELY!

I KNEW IT! Can I friend you now, "Mr. Finch"?

I have two boys--ages 7 and 4. I pack lunches and put out clothes the night before. Then I get up by 4:15. I exercise, get ready, get the boys ready and fly out the door. Are your required hours 7 to 4? Mine are 7:45 to 3:45. If I put in extra time, it's after school. I don't stay too late, though. I always ask myself:…

I had an umbilical hernia repair last summer. You need to be extra careful during recovery not to lift too much or strain those muscles or you could cause it to rupture. Walking, however, is usually a very safe exercise. They told me I could be walking as much as I wanted right after surgery Personallly, I didn't feel up…

Ground turkey tacos for them. Taco salad for me.

Keep up the good work! You'll be surprised how quickly you'll see you're endurance building.

I'm almost 42 with two boys, ages 7 and 4. I need recipe ideas too.

I have read that exercise, especially strength training, causes a person to retain water. So I would think that if you stop exercising for a while that you may be dropping water weight.

Dig in your chip cupboard for an almost empty bag of Doritos (any flavor). Crunch up into crumbs. Cut thawed chicken breasts into sliced or chunks. Roll in flour, then egg, then Doritos. Bake on a cookie sheet at 375 for 20-25 minutes.

The Fiber One granola bars do the same thing to me. Excruciating! :embarassed:

Same here. I am on Questran now--have been for about 11-12 years--twice a day. They even make a sugar-free version. Before Questran I was having problems working a regular job because of my symptoms. I was sick every morning. Now, though, I am very normal. Please, people, go to your doctor. It's embarrassing to talk about,…

5'3-3/4" I have 20- 30 lbs to lose.
-
It's nearly impossible to gain 4 pounds in one week so don't panic. It's probably water weight gain. Maybe something you ate; otherwise, I recently read that strength training can cause fluid retention as well. Did you recently add weights to your workout?

BUMP!!!
-
Great job! We'll celebrate together. I just hit 10 lbs today, too! Woot! Woot!
-
Wow! You look completely different and much younger.

Go shopping and buy yourself something fun. That always takes my mind off things, and makes me feel better. (Sorry....maybe I'm not such a good influence. :ohwell: )
