  • I'm no expert, but I actually like Special K Red Berries - I compared it to Shredded Wheat (not sure you have that in the US?) this morning, and they're not dissimilar per portion size for macro's - plus, you get the added bonus of vit C and some anti-oxidants from the berries :) Having said that... the macro's may differ…
  • @littlefreckle - the WW scales have a lifetime guarantee from the company, have you phoned them up? I've kept the booklet from mine just in case anything ever goes wrong :)
  • until I got a HRM, I searched the forum and the consensus seems to be to log 30DS (not sure on the others - search the workout dvd name with 'how to log' and it will probably pull it up) as *Ciruit Training - general* :)
  • I don't know how to post a pic from my profile pictures? But the 3rd pic in my profile (short skirt and boots - my inspiration pic) was taken 6 months post 3rd baby. My stomach was impressively taught! I admit, at that point, I had a very good metabolism - I could eat like a HORSE and not gain a pound, I was lower than my…
  • I weigh every day to keep an eye on my menstrual cycle primarily (I know I'm due on if my weight shoots up a couple of pounds a day for 2 or 3 days for example). I have a weigh in app on my phone, and log my weight on that daily, noting down body fat and water composition too - the app can build a chart from whatever…
  • I weigh daily, but thats because my menstrual cycle is shot and the only way I know I'm due on is a sudden weight gain (5lbs in 3 days prior to TOM this time around). If I weighed in once weekly, I'd feel discouraged to see the scale climbing (for example, if I weighed in on Fridays only, I'd be up 2lbs since last Friday),…
  • Interesting!! I used to be a 6-8 coffees a day kinda girl (and I take my coffee strong and black - 2 tsps strong coffee and 4 sugars)... I started taking a seaweed supplement a month before I started using MFP, and (***didn't notice the correlation until now***) almost instantly, I am down to 2-3 coffees a day (I use…
  • I got a set of weight watchers ones (on sale at £30 - original price was £80!). I get pretty consistent and believable readings from them so far, they do weight, body fat % and water %. You have to program in your details to get accurate readings though :)
  • when I don't feel like doing anything/leaving the house, I load up my wii fit and do 30 or 60 minutes on the free step. Just stepping on and off rhythmically, while I watch tv. Still feel like I'm being lazy cos I'm doing what I fancied doing instead of exercise anyway ;)
  • does your scale have you input your height/age/sex first? If notyour numbers could be way off... If I weigh on mine with the settings wrong, it can HUGELY miscalculate your levels. I stood on it the other day and got BF 15% and water 40% or thereabouts - turns out the kids had been fiddling with the buttons, and my profile…
  • bump - maybe a way to hide the dreaded cottage cheese?? Will give these a go at some point hopefully!
  • As someone with Pernicious Anaemia (immune disorder which prevents my gut absorbing b12, leading to b12 anaemia) I can tell you that not all of your symptoms are b12 related, only the fatigue and hairloss. The temporary nerve problems are not a b12 problem (b12 anaemia can cause nerve damage in the extremities if left…
  • If its a mini step machine with pedals that you walk on, but they're angle slightly to add a twist, then log it as elliptical - thats what I was told to log my lateral thigh trainer as (exact same machine, different name lol)
  • Thanks, I'm glad to know that I can just jump in from where my fitness/endurance level will be :) I'm just crossing my fingers for some good results, all the before/after photos have been truly inspiring - I just hope I can manage somwhere near that quality of improvement! ETA: I read, in some JM related thread on here,…
  • I just purchased this today. Really pleased, as I seem to have caught a good deal on Amazon: -30 day Shred -No More Trouble Zones -Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and -6 Week 6 Pack in a 4 dvd box collection for £15.98 :) Was only looking for the 30 Day Shred originally, but came across this when I went to compare the price of…
  • bump, for future reference, thanks :) Just bought one of these second hand, the lady paid £75 for it plus £20 extra for the power bands (for the arms). She sold it all to me for £10 :D I always wondered what an elliptical trainer was lol!
  • bump for future reference - great tips, thanks :)
