Yes, they do it for life insurance. Also, why should I have to pay more than someone who can't be bothered to stop stuffing their face full of twinkies and get out and go for a walk?

I use SunWarrior and have no complaints. I think it is a good blend, mixes well, tastes okay. There's not a lot of protein per scoop, so you have to consume more than a soy protein.

I'm giving up alcohol and eating animal protein for lent. Even though I live in a house with omni's, so far it has been easy. One problem is that I thought it would be easier to stay under my MFP calorie goal, but it hasn't. Anyway, it feels great never being hung over or sluggish because I ate a greasy cheeseburger!

Ok, I have a question...It's commonly said that you can't burn fat without a deficit. Also, you can't build muscle on a deficit. How then does one change their body composition? Is it somehow possible to add muscle and burn fat at the same time? I'm 5-8, 170 with a 23.6 body fat and a BMR of approx 1675. Thanks.

I typically eat 1800-2100. I eat back exercise calories when I run distance, but not when I lift. MFP says I can eat 1290 to lose 1.5 pounds per week, so...that's not going to happen!

For a 5'6" female, 1200 cal should be enough. Make sure to eat back your exercise calories.

Get whatever you want and eat approx one cup of it plus one cup of rice if it comes with rice, then log it in. Life is too short to not enjoy a little Indian food! I personally think salmon madras is the best. Have fun!

Yes, of course you can lose weight without exercising. Just set your activity level as sedentary and eat your calories but don't go over what MFP gives you.

I'm not buying the conclusion drawn by the headline writer. It's still # of calories in and # out. Glycemic loads matter in feeling full longer, but you could lose weight on a junk food diet as long as you ate at a deficit.
