Well you only need a calorie deficit to lose weight. Gym time is not necessary for losing weight, but can be fun if you do things you enjoy. As far as time for yourself...that's up to you to MAKE time for yourself. How bad do you want to achieve your fitness goals? Do you have time to stay up late and meal prep? Can you…

As others have posted, it won't do anything for weight loss. Weight loss requires a calorie deficit. Enter your stats, eat to the goal MFP gives you, and you'll be there before you know it. There are no shortcuts or magic pills. Good luck!

So, you've demonized all 3 macronutrients in one paragraph. What do you eat? Your body uses these macronutrients for energy. That's fats/carbs/protein. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1159755/looking-for-a-detox-cleanse/p1 Please read this link. You are wasting your money on detoxes...

Recommend going in with a structured program. The link above by @JerSchmare is a good place to start.

Correct. And if ACV melted fat there would be a shortage, and if you could find some it'd be 50 dollars a jug. ETA: using ACV as an example, it's just as much woo as detoxing...

The "in 5 weeks you'll weigh x" is completely useless on here. Is more of a positive "keep it up and you'll be here in 5 weeks". If you exert the same energy and consume the same calories for 5 weeks, sure, it may be near that number. But we all know that's not realistic. And it doesn't take into account fluctuating weight…

So did you halve that amount? How much weight are you trying to lose? 20lbs? 75lbs? This will determine a safe lb per week goal. 2lb per week may be too aggressive if you only have 20lbs to lose.

Hmm. Need a bit more info to see if you've cut too many calories. What are your stats, and what has MFP set your goal at? You should be netting that goal.

That's really inspirational, go you!

You're in the right place. Lots of people here can help. Lots of information here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1 Calorie deficit is what you need for weight loss. Find some resistance training you enjoy (not required for weight loss though).…

I'm not doing keto, but my mom and brother are. Every time I'm like "hey let's eat this", they say "sorry we can't" I always forget they are doing it. Too restrictive in my opinion. All about calories anyway, so I eat the foods I want in moderation. And still achieve the goals I set. Good luck to you as well. I hope you…

There's a sexy pants thread on the "getting started" board. In the "must read" thread. You could read that. Lots of good info. ETA: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1

Welcome! May i also suggest a food scale so you can track more accurately.
-
Not necessary for weight loss of that's your goal. Waste of money.
-
I think it's great that you are making a change for a better you!! But I googled the fat smash diet and...it excludes perfectly fine food. You can eat what you enjoy and still lose weight. Everything in moderation. Also, detoxes are woo. Steer clear of any plan that uses "detox" as a selling point. Spend your money on a…

You can fit those treats into your goals if you want. Everything in moderation. Much more sustainable if you don't deprive yourself. Good luck to you!
-
As usual... +1. Probably overkill to whip out the food scale lol

Correct ETA: well sorta. You can delete from "recent" on the Android app, but only delete from "frequent" on pc.
-
You would need to eat 3500 SURPLUS calories. Calories above your maintenance. Recommend adding this over the span of a week though. So take your weekly goal. Add 3500 over a week or 2 and you should gain. Unsafe to gain too quickly. Could set your goal to add 1lb per week, too.
-
Ok on the desktop version you can delete by: When adding foods to a meal, click the "Frequent" tab, check all you want to delete and at the bottom there is a "Delete From List" option.
-
In the app: When in your diary, press add foods, view your selection, press and hold the food you want to delete, the delete entry option becomes available. There's a way to do it on desktop as well but I can't remember the steps.
-
Go to the "Goals" tab and you can tinker calories in there.
-
Other than MFP, I use an app called "Strong" to track my lifting.

I'll agree with this. Good if it works for you. But they seem pretty judgemental. If only to appeal to their client base.
