I usually do one protein shake daily, if I don't get to my goal with other foods, I'll do another one after dinner.

Cheerios "Protein". 11g of protien (with 8oz of milk)...

Losing weight comes from a calorie deficit, no working out required. We also can't spot reduce where fast comes off. How much are you trying to lose?
-
I recommend getting a food scale if you stall (or even before) for accuracy. Food labels can be off. And eyeballing things like, peanut butter, you could end up with a huge variance. Welcome all to MFP!

It's woo. Don't bother. This concoction will do nothing. Which type of results are you looking for with this? Weight loss comes from calorie deficit.

Likely either under-estimating food intake, or over estimating calories burned on exercise. Also, ^read that graphic. Maybe try taking body measurements instead of using a scale.
-
Makes me wonder what else you read. No good or bad foods. All foods in moderation are fine. Unless you have a medical need to avoid wheat, don't worry about it.
-
Weight management comes down to calories, not carbs. Put your stats into mfp (be honest with your info) eat to that number. Food scale helps with accuracy. You can also take body measurements to track progress. The scales will fluctuate due to high sodium meals, TOM etc... You can do this!

Breakfast is whatever you eat. Doesn't have to be specific "breakfast foods". Breakfast isn't necessarily "the most important meal of the day". Meal timing is irrelevant, calories are what you track for weight management. No need to label foods good or bad. Losing weight doesn't have to be miserable. Just eat less of what…

Pick something sustainable. Just eat less than you normally would. Food scale for accuracy. Don't torture yourself.

Best CICO thread ever.

This! Was going to ask how you were measuring intake. However, if you are doing the "5:2" way of IF, you would eat 500 cals for 2 NON-CONSECUTIVE days, and then eat at maintenance on the other 5 days.
-
You should figure out first, what calorie goal puts you in a deficit. Then eat to that number. When I switched to the 16:8 IF, I kept my goal the same as when I wasn't doing it. Lost weight at the same rate. Because I was eating in a deficit. ETA: I switched to the IF way of eating because I wanted to enjoy bigger meals.…

Not to mention, my local walmart (and I'm sure others) have a freaking display of ACV and tout it as "Miracle that started over 100 years ago, drinking ACV". So, ya know, marketing...

Choosey apps choose Jiff. But yea seems like a Jiff question.

Just log everything you eat. Will show you how the weekends affect your overall week in accordance to your weekly goal. And may help you say "hmm, I have to log that, and it will put me over. Do i really want that?"
-
Insightful.
-
So you mean literally binging, eating everything in sight with no control? Or, not tracking what you eat on the weekends and being more lax with your selections? Weekends for me do change up my routine, and are the days I have to try a bit harder to be responsible.
-
Of day won't ruin your week unless you REALLY go crazy. I'm not logging today because of the game.

Feel free to look at my diary. I have a portion dedicated to my fast days.

Fit the snacking into your day. There's a 5:2 group around here somewhere that may be able to help if this is really what you decide to do. But you'd eat at maintenance for 5 days, then on 2 non-consecutive days, you'd eat 500 calories (600 for men). Again, only going to lose weight if you are in a deficit overall.
-
Calories can't tell time so you are good. As Wizzy said, it's a myth to not eat "x" after whatever o' clock. You're good to go! Enjoy your egg.
-
It's more of a "way of eating" than a diet. But that being said, it will work for you only if it's sustainable for you, and puts you in a calorie deficit. I eat this way as a way to control my calories for the week, but it's not magic. Weight management still comes down to calories.

Enter your stats into mfp. Buy a food scale and weigh everything you eat (donuts included). Food scales ensure accuracy. Eat to the number that mfp tells you. Be accurate and honest with your diary. That's how you do food logging. As far as your motivation to log everything, even on "bad days", that comes from you. Read…

Yummmm. I eat there maybe once every few months. I usually get the royal! Pretty good.
