  • Haha. I weigh red (170-175). And although it was fun for a while coming down off of yellow and orange when I first got to red... I'm SOOOOOOO ready to weigh periwinkle!!!
  • Yeah I understand the mother dog protectiveness but her pups were nowhere in sight. I don't know if they were inside or in their backyard somewhere but I didn't hear or see them at any point. If I had done ANYTHING to provoke it, I honestly probably wouldn't report it. I just don't know what I could have done differently,…
  • Oh and incidentally, I found out that actually my county does NOT have a leash law, but does have a containment law. It's illegal for your animal to go off your property without a leash. You don't have to have a fence, but you have to be able to control your dog and keep him from leaving your yard. So they're still…
  • Oh actually I meant the female dog had given birth recently. Not the owner. I didn't meet the wife owner. Just the husband owner. But yeah.. there's lots of kids around.
  • Thanks. I feel bad. But I would feel worse if, like everybody said, I found out a child was in the hospital or dead because of those dogs and I hadn't said anything. There's always kids riding bikes and playing on that street.... kids as young as probably 3 or 4 with their older brothers and sisters. Bleh... my faith in…
  • :Animal control just told me to get a tetanus shot and get on antibiotics and they're going out to the house and will find out if the dogs are up to date on their rabies vaccines. "Have you ever been treated for rabies?" they ask me. Ugh.........:grumble:
  • btw, Thank ya'll so much for replying! There had been like 37 views before I got the first comment so I wondered for a minute if anyone would chime in. Ya'll have been really helpful and I plan to report. Thank you guys!
  • A dog killed a girl and wasn't put down?! Are you serious?! :noway:
  • Haha thanks! I agree that I don't think the dog is to blame. As I've said, I never thought I would be in this position. Never ever ever had a problem with dogs. Never been afraid of them. I was thinking last night maybe I should get a gun to go walking with. Doesn't that sound crazy? But with TWO bulldogs... not…
  • Thanks for the advice! We had a german shepherd/black lab/rotweiler mix (a puppy of a stray... those are our best guesses for breed) that we took to obedience lessons and learned the "EH EH" sound and several doggie behavior rules. I tried the EH EH, tried being firm, knew not to turn and run, but she would not leave me…
  • Yeah, I have thought that if I had had my nephews with me or another small child and that happened, 1) it probably would have been worse because I would've fought the dogs with everything I have to protect the kids and 2) there would be no way I would accept any solution but putting the dogs down immediately. Owners are…
  • DaveRamsey.com. He completely changed our lives. Actually... he taught US how to completely change our lives. Check it out! :flowerforyou:
  • Have you tried Craigslist?
  • You can make instant oatmeal in the microwave... still a pretty quick fix!
  • How do you get protein on a raw food diet? Are nuts the only real source?
  • I agree. Too much stevia = not so tasty. Stevia is a NATURAL HERB which is completely different from molecularly-altered sugar bleach (aka Splenda). Some brands process it better than others. Truvia is pretty good, as is SweetLeaf.
  • Well I'm an all-natural, clean whole foods kind of girl who also happens to love coffee. I'm a fan of vanilla soymilk but there's a few concerns about excessive soy, so I break up my vanilla soymilk mornings with almond milk every few weeks. Add in a little Stevia (you can find it at Wal-mart now) or if you wanna splurge…
  • I noticed that on here as well. But even if you're drinking a whole pot, are the 20 calories really "sabotaging" your weight loss? Nah... I mean still log them and stay within your calorie goal but coffee is SOOOOOOO worth 10 calories to me!
  • Ooo.... I  pumpkin! And oatmeal! Oh man... add some cinnamon and maybe a teaspoon of brown sugar... oh this sounds delightful!
  • I work where I have to take a deposit to the bank almost everyday. I can see the bank from my office.... it's just across the office complex parking lot, over a little grassy bank, and across the bank's parking lot. By the time I get in the car, get out on the road with traffic, and turn into the bank's parking lot, I've…
  • 300 calories in an hour sounds reasonable to me. I'm 5'9 and 167 pounds and burn 500 calories running for HALF an hour. If you add in your exercise under the exercise tab it will automatically update your calorie goal (adding the calories burned to your daily target). So just log all your food and exercise and eat the…
  • Ps. If you drink coffee, don't sweeten if with aspartame (equal) or you might as well be drinking the diet coke. Go for stevia (one brand is "truvia") or just use sugar and count the calories.
  • Refocus the attention from food when you're with your parents. Would they go for a walk with you so they could see your neighborhood or at the park? Something active would be awesome. But if they aren't able/willing, would they play scrabble with you? Would your mom go shopping with you at the mall? (Hey there's some…
  • I accidentally stumbled into a pop-free life. When I started with weight watchers I had to get 6 glasses of water in a day so i started drinking it with meals and it's what I *wanted* after a workout because it's more hydrating and refreshing when you're really THIRSTY. So I guess my best recommendation is ALWAYS have a…
  • Mmmm... sounds good! Do you have the nutritional info on it? Oh and sadly, there are no recipes on the bag. I checked.
  • If it had you put in an activity level I would guess it would be gross. Otherwise, I would guess net. But I'm not really familiar with a zig zag diet.
  • I LOVE that!!! Congrats!
  • them! My fave is Trail Mix
  • How about an apple with peanut butter or an orange/peach/cantaloupe/other fruit with some light string cheese?
  • When I first lost weight from 235 to 149, I got a few comments like that. The first time a close guy friend told me I was getting "too skinny" and starting to get "unhealthy-looking", it made me MAD  ! I was a size 8 and ate a lot of really healthy food and exercised like half an hour a day... nothing extreme at ALL.…
