What is your favorite way to burn a few extra calories throughout the day?

I live on the 3rd floor of my apartment complex, so when I don't have the kids (because it's too hard to get a 2 year old and a 3 month old up a few flights of stairs!) I will take the stairs instead of the elevator.

I also dance with my 2 year old :)

What about you guys?

If I'm planning a strength training workout only for my daily exercise after work, I try to get outside for a brisk 20 minute walk around the hospital grounds. 'Sgood for about 75 calories!
Also, on weekends I plug in my MP3 Player and dance around the kitchen while cooking food for the coming weeks lunches.
  • I work where I have to take a deposit to the bank almost everyday. I can see the bank from my office.... it's just across the office complex parking lot, over a little grassy bank, and across the bank's parking lot. By the time I get in the car, get out on the road with traffic, and turn into the bank's parking lot, I've taken the same amount of time I would walking it but I've used gas (which costs money and pollutes the environment) and not used hardly any calories. So, I walk it rather than getting in my car! It's a GREAT break from sitting at a desk all day. And oh this fall weather... I  it!!

I like to take my dog for a 2 mile walk or taking him to play in the baseball field
